Now King Kong is big Universal success should they have scrapped Kongfrontation. I love the mummy but I am sure there would have been room for both.

Does anyone else feel the same?

Yep. My kids were just asking about it the other day. We had a family photo taken in Kong's hand a few years ago that I will always have as a reminder. :)

We just saw the King Kong movie the other day and were talking about the same thing.

YES!!! I was just talking about it too. It was my favorite ride! I do not know what is wrong with these people who run the theme parks. They do not seem to care about those of us who like thrill rides w/out rollercoasters. I for one cannot go on them. Then of course there is Disney who got rid of all the good shows like Hunchback, and Tarzan Rocks!!

IMO they shouldn't have dumped Kong. One of the best things they had IMO. Should have just updated it and found room for The Mummy elsewhere.

Sorry, I though Kong was pretty lame. My kid's imitation of Twister always makes me laugh - they shake the coffee table and blow real hard. :rotfl:

I loved Kong. I can think of more expendable attractions. Although I hear The Mummy ride is awesome.

Kongfrontation was just getting way too expensive to maintain. I would love it if they put up a ride similar to the tram ride at Universal Hollywood that goes through scenes from movies. They could use their leftover Kongfrontation stuff and maybe some ET stuff from the old USH ride.

I loved Kong...as cheesy as it was, it was my family's favorite. I have fond memories of my 4 year old daughter (at the time) calling the ride "banana breath"...

They should have kept Kong and gotten rid of Earthquake!

::yes::

Totally agree. Kong was great...Earthquake is such a dud. It is alright for the first time, but definitely not an attraction you want to ride again and again. And it hardly feels like an earthquake! And the pre-show where they have audience members act out special effects is so lame.

Kong was cool. My husband and I were talking about the movie the other day and I told him I bet Universal execs are kicking themselves for taking the ride out! But I love the Mummy, it's my favorite ride in Universal hands down. I think Back to the Future should have gone, lots more room for coaster track in that building!
