Does anyone know if you have to reserve the pavilion right next to the pool for private parties, or is it just first come first served? If so, who do you need to contact?

Dad, i have always heard it was FCFS. And inthe popular times i have seen it claimed before breakfast. Best have an early bird plan.

Hope it works out for you.

Get there early. Last spring break we went to the pool for a morning swim around 10:30. We couldn't find more than 2 chairs together that didn't already have towels on them. It looked like 20 people at the pool, but over a 100 towels on chairs without people.

1) WDW officially does not go along with saving chairs.
2) If you remove towels, etc to take over the chair, no problem.
3) The other folks might (probably, will) complain when they come back.
4) But, the CM's will back you, not them.

NOTE: This is just like trying to save places for parades. The CM's will
back you up of you take someone's "saved" place.

There were plenty of signs around saying NOT to leave towels, etc. on chairs so I can see where a cast member would have no problem backing people up if they moved a towel.
