Hi all,

New DVC member here...

I keep reading through everything to get some answers, but here is a question: Does anyone know if DVC members get any discounts on Disneystore.com merchandise? I want to buy my kids the Disney MP3 players for Christmas, and I heard that DVC members my be able to get a discount, but I cannot confirm anywhere.

I know sometimes the Disney rewards card has discounts. I have one, but don't want to use it. I just want to know if we get any discounts by simply being a DVC member on any merchandise.

Sometimes there will be a discount code (usually 10%). I don't see one currently offered on the DVC Member website, though I may not have looked in the right place.

The only thing I could tell you is to call. Anytime we shop in any kind of disney store we pull out the DVC card, Disney visa & our AP's. Usually at least one of them has a discount

The discount code for DVC members (10%) is in the monthly "Vacation Magic" email that DVC sends out. It changes every month. As an example, here is what the last issue said:

Save while shopping online
DisneyShopping.com regularly offers Disney Vacation Club Members a 10 percent discount on qualifying purchases.

To take advantage of this perk, Members must use the appropriate coupon code of the month, and Vacation Magic E-mail Update is here to help by publishing the latest code each month.

To utilize this month's discount, visit www.disneyshopping.com/registration to register on the Web site, and then begin shopping, placing qualifying items in your shopping cart. Next, type the coupon code (I removed the actual code as it is for members only) into the "Special Offers and Discounts" box, click "Add," then select the "Exclusive 10% off" promotion, and click "Apply." Continue shopping at your leisure, and click "Begin Checkout" when you're ready to make your purchase.

If you are not signed up to get the email, you can do so on the Members' Website. I'm not sure if the code is on the website or not as I have never looked for it there. You may also be able to get the current code by calling MS.
