close to the time we leave Castaway Cay. Last time on our 3 day, we stayed on Castaway Cay until they kicked us out. I think, we were the last passengers to board the boat. We loved the place. Anyways, as a result we miss the kids club show. Are we going to miss it again.

No, you shouldn't have to miss it. You generally have 45 minutes to an hour or so once you get back on the ship to have your kid checked into the club in time to do the show. They don't have to be in there too long in advance. My DD loves getting the free t-shirt from doing the show so we always go, plus it's a good chance to see if she made any of the pictures they take of the kids throughout the week (they show them in a slide show).

You definitely should go! :)

On our cruise last week I know one of the moms with kids this age mentioned needing to have to the Club/Lab for a short rehearsal by about 4:30 so she was planning to get onboard a little before 4 to get everyone cleaned up for dinner!

On the inaugural 7-day cruise (August 2000), the kids' show was done as part of the final evening (dinner) show. I was surprised that they had moved it to an earlier time when we cruised again in January 2002. I guess that even with a 7-day cruise, there's just not enough time to fit it all in.

Are you sure about this? Not to be a pain but I looked at the Navigators on Barb's and Tony's site and it shows that you must be aboard by 4:30 at Castaway Cay. The children's rehearsal starts at 3:45 pm. The actual show starts at 4:45 pm. I should add this is for 5 to 7 year old group. It seems to me that we'll miss again because I like to stay on the island until the end. And, after spending a day at the beach we all need to get cleaned up and showered. So, if we were to make it to the rehearsal we'd have to leave the island by 2:45 pm to give us enough time to walk back to the boat and shower and change our dd. Maybe Disney should reconsider changing the time?

Well it's a choice your kids have to make. Ours wanted to do it and it saved me from buying 3 more Tshirts because they got the free ones. The rehearsal time starts at 3:45 but my kids didn't get there until 4. They got to the theatre at 5 but the debarkation talk was finishing--I think the show started at 5:05. The pictures were precious--DD#2 was in 3 and DS was in 1 all by himself. It's too bad they delete the pictures right after the show because a private company takes them!
Luckily we ate in Parrot Cay the last night and not Tritons because while the kids were mostly cleaned up, there wasn't time to shower for early dinner.

Robin,

We actually complained last time and they gave us a t-shirt even though we didn't attend the show. My dd participated in a lot of the activities just not the final show. Oh well.... It's disney's loss not mine. We still are going to enjoy the island until the end and I'll have her show up late this time.

OK... I'm interested in the t-shirt. We're going on our first cruise May 2004 and I'm wonderin'.....what does the shirt look like? I'm sure my DD(6) will want to be in the show (she's a major drama queen)!
