Does anyone know where the Hilton Garden Inn is?

Hi! We're trying to figure out where the Hilton Garden Inn is in proximity to the park. I can't find it on the aerial map or on the other map I've seen mentioned here. On their website it says a long block but then on another one it says 3/4 of a mile -- that's a really long block!

Any comments on this would be appreciated for a newbie to Disneyland.

It is south on Harbor Blvd probably about the 3/4 mile they speak of. It is near the Hyatt Regency which is advertised as a mile from the park.

Have you ever stayed there? I didn't read too many good things about the Hilton near the park, so I wasn't sure about this one.

I have not stayed there though I have been by it. It is nice looking and is part of a newly developed area with the Marriot Suites and Crowne Plaza nearby, along with a couple new restaurants. But it is to far away for me. I take short trips to Disneyland (save the long vacations for WDW) so I like to stay right across the street where I can walk back and forth in 5-10 minutes and not rely on a shuttle.
I have not heard anything bad about it.

Walking from hotel to park entrance is more like 2 miles. Keep in mind that getting you to the Disneyland parking lot might be what is 3/4 miles from the hotel.
