Does anyone know when Free Dining 2010 will be released?

Any chance of Free dining offered in October 2010?? I was trying to get our finances together last year so I wasn't on the boards as much-didn't keep track of the offers. What happen last year- when was the free dining offered for?
I turn 50 in October and would love to be in Disney on my birthday!!
What do ya think??

Do you think they may offer the current room discounts and the Free Dining at the same time. We are planning on going the end of August and trying to figure out what would be best....free dining or take the room discount.

As I'm sure you know you are not allowed to stack discounts, so must run the numbers to see which deal is best for you. Last year there were several discounts out there at the same time though. I know for my Sept trip I had to choose between free dining or the AP discount and the AP discount was a better deal. I believe there were some general public codes out also though. For our Dec trip we had to choose between a PIN code, the AP discount, and free dining and the free dining was the better deal.

I think I remember some dissers taking an early Dec. free dining trip, and I am hoping for that to be offered this year.

Well.. this is just my opinion but here goes. Yesterday they extended the current code. It has to be booked by the end of March (the 27th I believe) and it ends in the middle of August.

Free dining typically runs from mid August to end of September. And in the past you could book it around April 1st. So it looks to me like all systems are go to run the promotion again.

It could be another discount coming up... but I am pretty convinced it will be free dining. Again.. just my opinion

That is what I was looking up prior to coming over to the message boards. I called last week and I know the CM dont know about deals before hand, but goes to me of course it is coming out. It has been for the past few years. I am booking this weekend no matter what. Still kicking myself for not doing the bb when we were there last Sept. Being doing free dining the past 4 years and love it.

I know that free DDP was offered for early December last year, but it wasn't the usual package. The DDP you got was based on your resort. Value resorts got DDP Quick Service, moderate got the usual, and deluxe got DDPP.

Values were offered quick service for free, but you could upgrade to the regular dining plan based on the difference.

Moderates and Deluxes were offered the regular dining plan, but could upgrade to the DxDP based on the difference.

And I hope they don't extend it this year; I always go the first week in December and it is normally not nearly as crowded as it was this year, and it was imperative that you had ADR's. Normally, I don't have any trouble getting into table service restaurants around that time.

I will be happy if the free dining is NOT extended this year into the holiday season and things quiet down again......

Seriously, I know that it is just me, but I cannot imagine basing your trip solely on whether you can get free dining or not and then pay full price for the room. It is not totally "free" unless you have a really huge family.....just my thoughts.

I would bet it will be for Vaules.

You could upgrade to Regular Dining for around $10 PP.

I had FD with my Disney Visa in mid December 2008 and it was offered as a pin as well.

Free dining might not happen at all. I personally think it is never good to assume Disney will do anything. Yes, free dining has been offered the last couple of years, but it still a relatively new promotion when you look at discounts historically. Discounts codes have been historically more common than the free dining promotion.

Last year, we booked 2 value rooms, got upgraded to 2 1 bedroom villas at SSR AND got free dining for the 6 of us. It was a killer deal. I can't even imagine what it would have cost us to do that same trip for full price..... uggh

This will be the sixth year for the fall free dining promo. It has already been offered as a bounceback for August 14 - October 2 and is already being offered to UK visitors too. The gift card/room discount deal has been extended to August 14, so it's a pretty safe bet that the free dining discounts will come out for disney visa holders and the general public at the end of March/first of April, as it has the last 5 years.

We are a family of 6 and we always get two connecting rooms at a value resort. We've been able to get the free dining discount for our last three trips and it saves us about $1,500.00.

I am really hoping for a Halloween trip this year and I was wondering if the free dining equates to larger crowds? My daughter will be 4 at that time and we would like to go when everyone else is in school.

I am really hoping for free dining in Sept. as that is what I have based our trip budget on (can't really afford it wthout). But we stay will likely at a value, so I am also hoping for the regular DDP, not the QS. Not sure it will be worth it for QSDP...

basically holding my breath until April!
