Thanks for your help. :teacher:

i know in woodbridge it starts nov 7 which is a monday will
always go that time......

The 2005 Teacher Convention is
Thursday November 10
Friday November 11
Saturday November 12
Some schools have the whole week off and some only have a few days off.

And in case you're an ultra planner :goodvibes the 2006 dates for Jersey Week are Thursday November 9 and Friday November 10. We already have our cruise booked for that week :teeth:

Happy Planning!!!

Wow - the whole week? I hadn't known any do that - there are enough other days off as it is. My town has always been Thursday and Friday (with an occasional Tuesday off if Election Day fell in the same week and if they needed the schools to close - they don't always).

This will be our first year going Nj week. cant wait. I hear it will be crowded, but with mostly people from NJ. Thanks for the poster who mentioned 2006 dates, that helps with our decision to buy the annual pass because we want to use it for next year also.

RichieGracieMom - FYI - We did Jersey Week 2003 and the "crowds" amounted to about a 20 minute wait for the longest line. I don't think you'll have a problem :sunny:

Our schools down in South Jersey only get Thursday and Friday! But some parents take there kids out for the entire week as the children are only missing 3 days as oppose to 5 which is good!

Some schools have off or a half day on election day, which falls during Jersey Week this year, so they'll be missing 2 or 2.5 days.

We've been the past two "Jersey Weeks" :). Crowds were not bad at all.

This year we were able to arrive on 10/30 so we even got to do MVMCP on Halloween.

It's a great time to go as far as I'm concerned, we've always been fortunate with great weather and very manageable crowds.

You'll have a great time! This year we're heading over to Disneyland during Jersey week...we just had to experience the 50th celebration and see how DL is all decked out :D.

DD and I were down for Jersey week last year and had a great time. Our school system only gives off on Thurs & Friday, so we are going to have one absence on DD's school record. It will be worth it! :cool1:
We'll be back this Nov (9-13), too. :)
See you all there!

:earseek: I didn't know there was a whole Jersey week! No wonder you all ended up on the naughty list. ;)

hehehe - hope its a blast!!! (sounds like a slice of heaven when the weather is getting blah to me- - - I would love it!!!)

HI! Question for you since we are almost neighbors and going at the same time! I'm looking for reasonable airfare have you found any yet? Spirit is outrageous out of ac! I think I'm gonna wait til July when southwest comes out with their specials unless spirit runs something good! Or I'll wind up driving last resort though!

We are planning on driving unless we get a cheap airfare also. I have been checking and I am hoping us air has the same sale they had last year 99 round trip, but when I check alot of the Sat flights are sold out on the outbound side for the fifth. Waiting to see.

Someone told me to fly out of BWI. I checked their rates for Jersey week this year and they're half of anything flying out of Philly, AC, or Newark. It's worth the hour or so drive (depending on where you are in S. Jersey) to save the $$$ on airfare.

I've driven to BWI from the Burlington/Camden County area, and it's a little over two hours to get there. Unless the savings were substantial, I'd choose the fifteen minute drive to PHL over two hours to BWI.

I think SWA's internet fare from PHL to MCO is $79 each way, so I'm going to wait until the Jersey Week fares/flights are released.

my friend last year got jersey week for 29 dollars each way, she just had to stay untill the following monday, boy was she sad(lol) her family of five flew for just around 350, what a steal. It was SWA

I grew up about 10 min from the Delaware Memorial Bridge...so BWI was only a little over an hours drive. I forget that I'm an hour north of that now  and I think nothing of hopping in the car to visit my parents.

We're a family of 6 and the savings could be $1000 - $1200, so I'd probably try it at least once. We're driving to Hilton Head this year, but I'm going to keep my eye on Southwest's fares this year to help decide for our trip in 2006.

I know people who went last year for Jersey week aka NJEA teachers convention and waited until July and did get the $49.00 airfare each way from Southwest! I have signed up for the Us Airways specials, Airtran Specials, and Spirit Air specials, and DING thru Southwest! But I know soutwhest will put their November specials out in July I already talked to a rep there! I think Spirit will also lower their rates once it gets closer! I know someone going in october thru spirit and rec'd $88.00 each way! I think they are waiting to see how many will book at that astronomical price they are offering!
