Don't know about the extra bun when purchasing a double burger since we never did that. You definitely can get free ice & water though.

Okay, I want to say the extra bun thing is no more. I could be wrong but I seem to recall seeing that awhile back. But the free ice water is free still. In fact, you don't have to even eat at a cs place to get that. DD and I were wating for the parade, I was out of cash, my card wouldn't work at the cart for a water bottle, so I ran into Pecos Bills and asked for an ice water which they happily gave me. Later on my room key worked fine but I now know not to go to a park without some cash just in case!

Okay, now I remember, the extra bun costs more than one dollar now! I knew there had been some sort of bun change!

The less than $1.00 may be incorrect...I believe there was a thread on the budget board stating it is now $1.99 per bun.

That thread was incorrect. I was just there a few weeks ago, and it was definately less than $1.00 at both MKand Epcot.

the PP is right. We were just at HS for Star Wars Weekends and we got a double cheeseburger for me and I got an extra bun for I believe 70 cents or so for my DS who likes hamburgers.

People will buy a double burger meal, and then buy an extra bun. When they get to their seats they will take one of the burgers and put it on the extra bun, and voila! 2 burgers. Way to stretch your budget a little bit or if you and another person are not as hungry and don't want a whole burger meal.

I'd want to just pay for the bun and get a double burger combo with a DDP CS credit.

We also bought a bun with cheese for my grilled cheese loving kid last year at Pecos Bill's. It was less than $2.00 I know, and it was one of is favorite meals...

You can also, of course, just cut that double burger in half, but for kids (and adults) that can't get their mouth around a double high burger, that extra buck or two makes it an easier eat. Plus....that extra half a bun you'll get by having your own bun can help fill you up and spread those condiments around a bit more.

I get the distinct feeling that the price is another of those "depends on the CM" thing....I've read recent trip reports where it's been everything from 79 cents to 1.99.....and all of these people have claimed it was recent...not last year or even a few months ago. So I plan to go prepared to pay $1.99 and will be happy to get a "bargain" if it's less.

I'm not sure - what is the price for a plain burger? maybe they are pricing the bun only at $1.99 and a kids burger is $1.99? (not that I have any idea whatsoever, I know the price of burgers at Burger King and Wendy's lol)

Just back & Thurs we did the dbl cheeseburger thing. And naturally dh ordered & can't rememeber exactly the price of the bun~ I'm gonna have to look & see if we still have the receipt - but he did say it was under $1....

and we got TONS of free water - I guess 6 cups or so a day....no problems anywhere...

just FYI while I was in line @ Pecos Bill some snotty customer came up wanting to order all kinds of special things & the CM gave her a hard time then the customer got really rude so the CM just did it for her - the cutomer wanted to buy just grilled chicken breast (which they don't do) & also wanted the salad with the chicken on the side for her vegetarian son who couldn't have the chicken touch the salad (mind you she ordered a veggie burger - & she claimed it was only her son that was a vegitarian) I'm not positive if the CM sold her the chicken alone - but she did get them to do the salad sep....the woman was just rude & demanding & wouldnt take no for an answer...
