Does anyone know if Marshall Fields is having a sale today?

Yes I am going to Meridian Mall.

I actually bought a ton of stuff there a few days ago and thought it was going to be on sale today. I was going to go back and get the price difference.

You like Meridian Mall? A lot of stores have moved out of there. They need to do something to get going again.

I haven't been there since last summer......we had a Dis meet there last June. It's closer for me to go to 12 Oaks (actually going there today) but I like the layout of Meridian better. I meet my nephew there occasionally, he's in law school in East Lansing.

Thanks. I always like to watch and see if something I buy goes on sale.

I bought a bunch of things for my children at Gap around Christmas. They went on sale the next day. I took the receipt in and saved over $150! Not bad.

I like Twelve Oaks but haven't been there in a long time.

In the paper yesterday there was a coupon for 20% off clearance items in certain department. I don't remember seeing a 13 hour sale but I could be wrong.

As far as I can tell, they are not having a 13 hour sale.

They are still having a home sale and a sale on selected items in selected depts.

I think the Home sale ends today. I'll just have to watch for their add tomorrow.

It's only about a 5 min. drive for me, too. but I don't want to go and then end up spending even more money!

I go to Meridian Mall at least once a month. I've been taking a lot of our old clothes to Second Time Around and each time I pick up a check I go to TDS and buy Disney Dollars for our trip. I've made over $500 already in just a few months.

I used to pack up our old clothes for the mission. I just never thought it would be worth it to go to the consignment shop.

I did take my daughter's clothes to the consignment shop because there is such a demand for children's clothes.

I still give plenty to the mission-household stuff, furniture, etc.

We have a huge consignment shop here that is right by Meridian Mall, actually.

I iron all of our old clothes, put them on hangers and take them. I get 1/2 of the selling price and can pick up a check the month after items sell.

I honestly can't believe how much money I have made doing this. My kids go through clothes fast and I always have a pile of old things waiting to go. I have always sold everything I've taken and have people who wait for my stuff to come in-I guess I buy cute things.

Since this is money I never planned on having in the first place, I just use it for Disney Dollars. It's fun.

I have 3 kids.....14, 14 & 8..I should start ding that with their stuff too. My DD14 wears mostly Abercrombie, American Eagle & other name brands...I wonder if they would sell well at a resale shop? Thanks for the idea...I'll have to try it
