I know there was chatter about this a couple of years ago. IF I were to book a cash room(studio) at SSR can that be linked to my DVC stay so I don't have to move rooms???? I can get a 40% discounted room with a military discount vs. the 25% DVC cash discount. IF it means moving then I will go with the DVC discount. THANKS!!!!

As of late Feb (our last stay over trip)it couldn't be linked, but ask when you check in. If they have availability the front desk can try and keep you in the same room. You would just have to go down, check our and then check back in. We own Dvc and ar military too, and do this often.

Hmmmm okay. I was hoping they had this working. I am thinking that because it's a popular time for Food & Wine a room might not be available. I might just take the safe route and do the 25% and hope my waitlist comes in for that day. :) THANKS

Why they can't do this though, it sure would be nice. Once we had to change rooms three times at the same resort. The day in the middle wasn't available. It was an adventure.

DRC & DVC have totally different (and separate) reservation systems. The best you can do is call both and have the other reservations noted.

It won't be 100% guaranteed but I do believe the likelihood of staying in the same room will be very high. The resort really doesn't want you to move either as that triggers full cleanings etc. We did this at PVB in Oct for my sister. I had both CRO and DVC note the continuing stay on both reservations and then at check-in verify the resort had her staying in the same room. This was an HA room so there was fewer options but I do not think that affected getting it done. At a resort the size of SSR it should be very easy. I'd do it again and feel comfortable with doing it - albeit know it wasn't an absolute guarantee.

Disney's legendary IT systems don't support things like "linking two different reservation systems," and I suspect if they tried you wouldn't like the final result.

I once did it at OKW. Sunday to Thursday nights on points, Friday night on AP rate. I had both reservations noted and mentioned it at check-in. On Friday morning, I went to the front desk and got new keys (long before magic bands) and parking permit. Got full housekeeping that day too.
