Does anyone know how much Cape May is for breakfast?

I see 20.99 listed on wdwinfo and 26.99 listed on allears. We will be going mid-May so I am assuming no surcharge. Has it really increased to 26.99? Not a deal breaker, I just find it odd that it would be more than Ohana or CP when there are only 3 characters?:confused3

my WDW dinning app tells me 18.99 adult and 10.00 child, does not include holiday pricing

Your App is incorrect.

In July, during surcharge season, we paid $24.99/adult + tax. Take away $4.00/upcharge, and that is $20.99. I believe price has gone up a few bucks for 2011, as it's being reported at $26.99 - $4.00 upcharge, and that is $22.99. Child was $13.99 - $2.00 holiday upcharge, puts it at $11.99, plus there has been a slight price increase as well.

You won't find any character breakfasts for $18.99 any longer. Disney has been steadily raising prices on all buffets the past few years.

Incidentally, it looks like no holiday surcharge for the month of May in 2011 (but need to call for sure). Hope this helps, Tiger

that's too bad my app is wrong, they update it all the time, I wonder where they are getting the info for it

Good question. We notice our WDW Apps are wrong quite often, yet they say they are updating them continually?

Just like with All Ears - it is constantly wrong, as it relies on other people to get the info. WDW Info is wrong at times too.

Disney is confusing though, with seasonal surcharges and continual price hikes, so dining prices are something that we are finding are hard to keep up with. We keep each and every dining receipt from all trips, so we have a pretty basis for comparison, and as we know with Disney, prices don't ever really go down!

I can't confirm prices for Cape May, but I'm going to assume they'd be similar to the new pricing for 1900PF.

When I called Disney for updated pricing (WITHOUT THE SURCHARGE) this is what I was told:

1900 PF Breakfast: 26.62 adults / 14.90 children

CP breakfast 28.75/15.97

These prices are honestly insane...I'm truly amazed that people would pay this OOP. Without the dining plan I probably would never eat at these places anymore...just wayyy too pricey for one meal alone!

Wow... those prices are crazy! I will call once our trip gets closer to see the actual price. I would love to try Cape May, but there is no way I will that much. 22.99 is pushing it. When I was pricing my trip last year many of the breakfast buffets were 18.99 which seemed like a lot. Not worth it when DD doesn't care about seeing characters anymore.

On December 10th, my breakfast at Cape May Cafe was $23.00
for one adult, BEFORE the tax was added in.

Yup, that would be the $22.99/adult price I reported above. With tax that comes to $24.48. Since All Ears is reporting a different price of $26.62 (tax included), that is $24.99 + tax (that was the price I was quoted when I called the other day), it has gone up by $2.00/adult.

Incidentally, the price that is on All Ears is without the holiday surcharge, which means that breakfast will be $28.99/adult + tax during holiday season.

In the past several years, between yearly price increases and holiday surcharges, breakfast buffets have gone up approx. $30.00 - $32.00 for a family of 4 (2 adults, 2 kids). Yikes! :scared1:

We have reservations for Nov. 18 2011 for Cape May breakfast. Prices according to WDW Dine phone# are: $30.88/adult and $17.03/child, including tax but not tip. I really didn't think it was going to be that bad.

Which is more expense:

1. park tickets

2. WDW food

3. airfare

I just wanna go on vacation, not break the bank!
