I'd like some binoculars, but I know absolutely nothing about them. I would mostly use them when I'm on trips - cruises, visiting national parks, etc. I'd also like to take them to college football games. I don't need anything real expensive (say over $150), but I also don't want a cheap pair either. I do know that I don't like the really small ones.

Any suggestions? Brand? Features I should look for?

TIA!

My guys are all gone from the house right now, so I can't ask them for advice, opinions, etc.

I do know that Cabelas has lots in stock -- go to www.cabelas.com - usually they have a section to click on with information about the product and which one would be best for you.

I would also google binoculars -- I did this with skis and ski boots - I learned how to size them to my kids, which brand was best, etc.

:)

We just bought some new ones (from Dick's Sporting goods), they are Nikon 12X25 travelites, they are the best we have ever had, super clear and are extremely light. We use them for sporting events (football games), my husband loves them. I think we paid $120. We had originally purchased the Nikon sportsters as they were a little cheaper but my husband wasn't satisfied with those so we exhanged them.
