Does anyone know about V Smile???

I have just found this V Smile online and was wondering how good it is for kids over 5. It says it is for ages 3-7 but I really can't find anything specific for the older end of this.

Is there anyone here that can tell me any personal experiences with this or the InteracTV?

I bought this for Christmas for my 2 &5 year olds. Especially for the 5 year old. The games that we chose were two for each of their levels (I am not home so I can't give you the names).

My DS(5) enjoys playing his computer games pre-k-1st grade and I thought this would be good for him.

My opinion is that I really was not interested in getting him a Gameboy or game system, since he is not asking. I would like to stay on the educational side as much as possible for their young ages.

(Please do not flame me, I am not really familiar with game systems, they may very well have educational games too.)

I agree I am not looking for the whole game sense but rather for the educational side of it that's why I took a second look at the V Smile.

I just wonder if it is really worth the money for a 5 1/2 year old and if it will hold her interest.

I looked at them for my 4 and 5 year olds and decided it was too young for them. There was only one game at TRU for ages 5-7. The other games taught letters, colors, numbers, shapes and patterns - all of which I think my kids have mastered already. I was afraid they would be bored. They have Leap Pads already, which they rarely use, but I felt they could learn and reinforce the same lessons through those.

Plus, I want to hold off on video games as long as possible.
