Does anyone here

I was a special education teacher before I had my kids. I absolutely LOVED my job and miss it very much. Since taking my new job as a stay at home mom 9 years ago- (my kids are the toughest bosses I've ever had!;) I've also started working as a Disney Travel Agent. I love planning and organizing trips and I get to live vicariously through all my clients!
:lovestruc

I design online courses - always interesting, usually a challenge and lots of fun. I used to do this same work in corporate and it was a lot more demanding (crunch times we'd work until 2am). Now I work for a University - better fit for me now that I have kids.

I hate my job. Yes, I've tried to get out of it and into something new, but encountered rampant age discrimination. I have to force myself to get out of bed in the mornings.

That is sad....I'm sorry :(

Although I have my bad days, I can luckily say I've never DREADED going into work...yet there are days that I count down to vacation!!!

I like my job. I am a med tech at an infertility clinic. There are days that I don't enjoy myself, but that would happen anywhere. It makes me feel good that I had some small part in helping couples realize their dream of starting a family.

chemist in Agri-biotech field. It's okay. I like it when I am left alone to do my job. The office politics is horrible. Pays the bills.

Since we do try to find better pesticides and genetically alter crop plants to be more resistant...I suppose I torture bugs and plants, in theory. However, none were harmed in this post.:thumbsup2

Yes. I love my job. I work at home doing transcription. I used to work in a doctor's office for many years and I have to say I definitely like this end of the patient better.

I've always been grateful that I've been passionate about my job/career. I sometimes do not enjoy managing my staff but I love everything else and have always been a workaholic. I'm getting close to retirement age and can't imagine my life without my career so I see myself continuing to work as long as I'm physically capable.

I am also in Healthcare (RN in an ICU) and I LOVE my job.... I love seeing people getting better and being able to go home........Like you said there are days where it gets frustrating but in the long run it is well worth it....

I'm a nurse. I don't hate my job. I love my job. If I didn't, I'd go do something else.

But my back is starting to not like my job. :headache: They all said it would happen. "Don't do that. I did that and my back is a mess. Your back can't take it. You're going to pay for this stuff later."

They were right.

I'm a photographer. I work at a daily newspaper and have my own business photographing mainly weddings and senior portraits and I do enjoy what I do. I do have stretches where I don't have many days off but that helps pay for trips to WDW!

I'm a teacher...elementary music. I LOVE my job. I can't think of anything better in the world... :goodvibes :goodvibes :goodvibes

Other than the Chicken or Feathers aspect, love it.

I really like my job. I'm a hairdresser and own my own business from my house. I love working for myself and being my own boss. I've been doing hair since age 15 and I'm almost 44. That is a long time! So, good thing I like what I do.
My job is a creative outlet for me so it is like getting to do your hobby for your job. I have a great clientele who I love dearly and am blessed to be doing what I do.

I have thought about getting out of the business 2 or 3 times in the past 25 years of actually working in a shop. But, nothing ever came about and I feel like at this point I am where God wants me to be. :)

I am a grad student in special education and I pre intern at a school five days a week teaching fourth grade cross categorical special ed. I absolutely LOVE it! The kids are awesome and I love being able to teach them. We started reading the Lightning Theif to them and the kids are absolutely enthralled. They ask me every day if we can read it. I've been supplementing it with information and pictures on the Greek gods, heroes, and monsters in the story, and they just eat it up. It's been very rewarding.

Even on days like to day when one of our kids had the worst tantrum I have ever seen, I still love what I do and I can't wait for my full internship next semester when I will be completely in charge of the classroom.

I am in advertising sales. And with the state of economy things have been tough. I feel caught in the middle with my bosses asking why my clients aren't advertising and my clients having to decide if they can pay their staff or pay their utilities bill. :scared1:

i do IT work in support of training for the Army-i love it-unlike the last job i had where i facilitated comminucations for greedy corporate execs-what i do now really matters-and i get to work with some of the most awesome people in the world.

I'm in Healthcare...sure I have my days where it gets frustrating, but maybe I don't hate my job because we're in the business of saving lives. I find it ironic that so many people hate us when we really don't hate them.

Maybe that's the trick, everyone has to hate someone.

Ugh, well that's a happy thought for the morning.

So in the interest of starting my day on a better note, I'd like to say that I do NOT hate my job. I love the fact that I can help you during your time of need. I don't like that you're sick, but I like that I can help you get better. I don't like that I have families dealing with end of life issues, but I'm happy that I can comfort you as you grieve. I can't stand all the government regulation, but I appreciate the commitment to high quality care. I'm sorry you are going through such a difficult time, but I hope that I and my collegues can help you get through it and feel better. I know there are bad apples in my industry too and I will work my hardest to help them find a new job working somewhere else.

One thing I've kept in mind from my EMT class was this; When we see our "customers" it is quite possibly one of the worst days of their lives...even if they only have the flu, it can still be one of their most miserable days. As for my jobs I really like them both. Most days I'm in the office but I get to switch it up a bit by running on the truck too.
