Does anyone here have the premier annual passes?

We currently have the preferred APs and are contemplating upgrading to the premier versus dropping them all togther. I haven't seen a "slow season" at all this year and it's pretty frustrating not riding anything anymore due to long ride wait times. I noticed that the preferred has an after 4:00pm express pass, but I'm confused on the fine print. It says one time use. Does that mean after 4:00pm you can get into the express pass lines up to one time per ride each day you are there? Or do you just get it once for the whole year? (I realize you can't ride certain rides like RRR, FJ, etc.)

it is the premier, not the preferred annual pass that has that perk.

after 4:00 pm, the premier ap holder can use the express line once per visit that day in the park.

kind of similar to buying the day express pass.
can use it once only per ride/attraction for that date.

if you live local, you would get more use out of it if you go to the parks a lot in the evening/after 4:00.

i have the preferred and what it offers works for me.
and, i stay onsite and receive the hotel perk for express line usage.

Yeah, I have the preferred now and am contemplating upgrading. I just wanted to make sure it was a once per day thing and not a once per year. It's wierd the way it's worded on the site. That might work for us then. Thanks!

i have friends that have the premier and they can use it for the express lines one ride/show per date.

in the summer time, they go a lot during the week to UO.

You honestly have not seen a slow season? I'm there all the time and most of September, October, November and so far this month have been very slow. I'm sorry that you've had a different experience.

Nope, I have not. But then again, we have only gone on Saturdays due to our work schedules. ET was 45 minutes yesterday at around 3:00pm. I imagine it's not so bad during the week. We will just upgrade the passes knowing I can use that once per day. That will make a lot more sense for us.

My wife and I have the Premier passes - definitely works well for us. Love the free valet (always keep cash for a tip!) and the extra discounts on everything.

As others have mentioned, it's nice to walk right on after 4pm. Yes, it's once per day but it always seems like enough.

We are considering doing one premier and dropping the other one to preferred next year to save money. We are always together when we go, so one for the valet and the discounts should be fine. Since the preferred doesn't have any blackout dates it should work for us.

Wouldn't that block you from the express though?

Anyway, I think we will upgrade that way we can still keep going. It's possible I just haven't noticed it before because I only recently went back to work. It feels so much busier this year (in all parks) but maybe I feel that way due to weekends. Or maybe we just have bad luck. I haven't seen any difference from the summer.

As my friend Homer would say - "D'oh!"

Thanks for pointing that out - we hadn't considered it thoroughly yet...

I still heartily recommend the Premier passes!

Lol.

Yeah I think we will go for it. I don't want to give up Univeral and this way we can still enjoy the rides

For me it's not worth it to upgrade to Premier even though I live about 20 minutes from the parks. I don't go except on weekends because of my work schedule so the free Express after 4pm wouldn't do me a lot of good. I go to HHN enough to purchase a FFP so the free HHN ticket would go to waste and I never park in valet. I've had my Preferred AP since 2004 and still have the old pass with my picture on it so I don't want to lose that either. ;)

If you're going to use the extra benefits then by all means upgrade. Otherwise...stick with what you have.

We have 1 premier pass and the rest of the family just has the power pass. We only keep the premier pass because we love the valet parking and the discounts. We never use the HHN ticket as we purchase our own and we never use the after 4pm express. We looked at the black out dates and they work for us as I see busy times like summer as torture. It is just too hot!
