I know its just your standard restaurant food and is compared to Rainforest cafe alot, but I would love to see some food pics from Trex since we are going there for the first time this year. I like to see portion size and how good it looks and that could help decide what I would possibly order:)

Portion sizes are good - I remember it being a lot of food. It was one of the best meals we had all week last Sept. We thought it better than Rainforest Cafe, but we like both. And DH and I were down there in February and had another great meal. Unfortunately, I didn't get any pics of our apps or entrees, but I highly recommend the dessert "Chocolate Extinction". We expected it to be a pretty "cookie-cutter" restaurant chain dessert, but it was delicious! And fun too! I did get a pic of that...

And plenty big enough for 4 - 6 adults!

Thanks for the pic! that desert does look awesome =) I was planning on ordering something light and getting it for DD and I.

Let me see if I can dig up some pics.. I got the footprints flat bread off the appys for my meal and it was huge, I shared and we still couldnt finish. DH always get the Crusteous Steak(chicken fried steak) and it is absolutely HUGE, it covers the plate! Everything we have had hear is very good! Got to try the cottintini if your a cocktail person..

That flat bread looks yummy and big enough to be eaten as a meal rather than an app, the drink looks tasty too;)

Don't have pics of them, but the 3 times we have gotten the ribs they have fall-off-the-bone and DELICIOUS :thumbsup2
Can't wait to eat there again in October :cool1:
AND the bonus is that it is a more male-oriented restaurant so DH, DS, and DD ALL like it ;) OK what can I saw we all LOVE it :lovestruc:lmao:

Don't have pics, but I was just there before we cruised. Portions were very good sized, definitely a little pricey but we liked it a lot.

I'm definitely starting to feel more excited about going now =) initially I was unsure because the prices seemed a bit steep, but last year DD really wanted to go but the crowd surged around the outside of T-REX was insane so I made a reservation to surprise her on the arrival night of her surprise Disney vacation. I can't wait until August I have been holding this surprise trip in since October!

Is this a landrys est. as well as Rainforest? i have points for a GC and was thinking of this place!! Thanks

I had a pic of dh's burger, which was huge! But, he added about an inch of mayo and I couldn't stand to look at it so I deleted it. LOL The portions are very large. I had the fish tacos and they were delicious.

I"ll be there next week and will snap a few pics to post.

It's always been good, but DH now refuses to go back. He had a pork shank a couple of years ago, and then when we want last year it was gone. They basically told him it was to exotic for the diners, so that is why they removed it. He's now done with T-Rex. :sad2:

We LOVED T-Rex!

Wow...really impressed with portion size. That's dinner one night for all of us and breakfast the next morning for DH and DS. ;)

Youngest DD has picked Trex as her main restaurant she wants to try this year (last year was Rainforest) so keep the pictures coming. :thumbsup2

Yes.. T-Rex, Rainforest Cafe, and Yak & Yeti are all Landrys restaurants. We signed up for Landry's select club on their website. It cost $25 but there's an instant $25 reward points added to the card, and each year another $25 is added on the birthday month. Reward points are good for 12 months. The birthday reward is good on your birthday month through the 15th of the following month.

A perk of the Select Club is you can show the card and get priority seating, even without a reservation. Again, that's for all 4 restaurants (T-Rex, both locations of Rainforest Cafe, and Yak & Yeti). I confirmed this by calling the restaurants directly.

There's also some coupons for Rainforest Cafe, 99 cent kids meals. Posters on other threads have said T-Rex accepts the coupons too.
