I keep seeing the infomercials for it, and it thought it looked kind of cool. I've never ordered anything from an infomercial before though. DS and I really like smoothies and I'm tired of paying $5 for them, so I thought this might work well. I got a gift card for Linens and Things for Christmas and I just noticed that they sell the Magic Bullet on their site for $60. Is it worth it? BTW....I don't have a regular blender right now, so I don't think I'd be "duplicating" an appliance that I'll rarley use.

We have a regular blender, too, which we never used because we thought it was a royal pain. DH saw the Magic Bullet at our neighbor's house and drooled like a spaniel over it. They ended up buying him one for Christmas and we've used it every day.

I used it just last night to make my own store-brand Fruit Punch soda slushies. Yum!

DH has used it to make some chocolate mousse which was fairly good.

The one DH got came with a recipe/idea book and we plan on using it quite a bit as DH loves milkshakes but thinks the regular blender makes too much of a mess when making them.

Hmmm, I may have to think about getting one now.

I have one :sunny: I put frozen fruit and milk or low fat ice cream which makes a delicious smoothie. I like making them right in the glass so you have less mess to clean up.

We have one. My DM bought it for me, I never really thought about it, but I love it. Don't use it as much right now, but during the summer we used it all the time to make smoothies.

I have also made egg salad and tuna salad in them - it was really nice and smooth more of a spread.

My mother who lives alone uses hers quite a bit to chop up stuff for her salads. She has trouble with pieces of veggies that are too big!

There's a magic bullet BLENDER?
:rotfl2:

My mom told us she got one and was so excited- my sister and I looked at each other like :earseek: :scared1: but then we understood that she was talking about a blender.....

one of my friends has one and she says she uses it every day. She does daycare so she uses it to chop up the baby food. She says she hasn't bought baby food since she got that thing.

My neice got one for christmas and was really excited about it. She went out to the kitchen and mixed a awhole bunch of stuff together....tomatoes and olives are not meant to be mixed together...looked really gross!

Yes, it's a BLENDER lol! Well, thanks for your replies, I think I will pick one up!

If you go to Linens & Things make sure you use a coupon. :flower:

Magic Bullet DIY Slurpees

1 cup your favorite soft drink or Kool-aid
1 cup crushed ice (You could probably use cube ice, but I haven't tried that yet. My icemaker makes crushed ice for me. :teeth:)

Place the ice in the blender cup and top with soft drink/Kool-Aid. Screw lid on firmly (don't let it be loose or it will leak..I found this out the hard way) and blend for 20-30 seconds. :)

You can drink it straight out of the glass, but I recommend a straw.
