What do you think? Do you think the smaller one on sale at Joann's this week is enough for a hobby for a mom and girls who like to cook and bake or should I upgrade and get the bigger size for the future?

P.S. My 10 year old wants to be a baker (we need to make a lot from scratch with all of our different food allergies) and I am thinking of this as a Christmas present for the family, especially since I already have a lot of the regular carts.

If I had the money I would have one of the cake machines. I am a casual baker, but I create cakes for the entire family. As far as size...I would think about how wide you would do things an make your decision on that.

FYI - if your DD wants to bake you should sign up for a Wilton cake decorating class at Michael's or JoAnn's. You'll learn how to use fondant, gum paste, royal icing, buttercream frosting, and make all kinds of amazing things!

I asked about it for her bithday a few weeks ago but she is too young. 2 more years and we are going to do it together.

The time will fly! The second course I took had a mother-daughter duo in it and and daughter's cakes were better than her mom's!

I had the cricut cake mini that I got over Christmas at Joann's but my local store doesn't carry the accessories anymore so I sold it and got the regular Cake.

I like it better because I can get more done with it and I'd have to order everything online if I keep the mini.
