Does anyone have anything nice to say about dinner at Chef Mickey's?

Chef Mickey's has gone down hill. It was always a fist on my list, but after our last visit we will not return. The variety was really bad ( if it wasn't for the potatoes we would have been hungry). I'm very sorry to report this because like I said before it was always our #1 pick. I hope it will get back to normal soon.

Gosh, I used to have plenty of good things to say; but no longer. I feel it has gone downhill for awhile now. We gave it one last try in December and were again disappointed. Cold food, slowly replenished and the variety worse than last time. Food on the floor under our table and greasy chairs. They seemed understaffed and the servers harried. The only thing that was good were the mashed potatoes. I'm hoping for it to make a "comeback" one day.

Me too! REALLY hoping for a comeback. The plethora for negatives can't be coincidence nor just a small handful of people not easy to please. I think many of us are easy pleasers hence why we even go to buffets. Most buffet goers are easy pleasers I would wager. :rotfl: I hope Disney reads these comments and does something about it. I think I'll wait a few years before I go back to give them a chance. I'll skip it this fall. I DEARLY hope to hear posts of improvement.

Chef Mickey's is one of my family's favorites. The food is good & we have always gotten a good server. Seeing the Fab 5 is great. Desserts are yummy especially the Mickey hats/heads made out of an oreo, chocolate mousse, & chocolate disks for ears.

I *always* make a point to go to Chef Mickey's! Yeah, the food is so-so...but the atmosphere is FUN! The characters are fun, kids have a blast...and isn't that what is all about! HAVE FUN! ENJOY!

especially the Mickey hats/heads made out of an oreo, chocolate mousse, & chocolate disks for ears.

FYI, even the discs they use for ears have gotten smaller. I should have taken a picture this time to compare. Downsizing even Mickey's ears! Where will it end! :rotfl2:

I really liked the dinner at Chef Mickey's. The food was great. I enjoyed the pasta. DS1 loved it as well. The characters were great as well!! DD3 literally was jumping up and down from excitement.

Good to say? The desserts are very good and so are the mashed potatoes. Both times we ate there in 2008, the soup of the day was outstanding.

I hate to say, but the food wasn't as good in 2009. It wasn't bad, just not as tasty as it was on previous visits. I think we will either skip it or try breakfast on our next trip in August. It used to be a "must-do" but after last year's visit during Free Dining, we need to give it a rest.
