I am going to Disney in a couple of days. I have been quite a few times but I was wondering if there are any secret tips im missing out on?

One thing im going to do is take a roll of cling film and take some rolls from the breakfast for lunch haha but the food is expensive and we are on a budget!

xx

Buy provisions from the shop just inside the train station - much cheaper than in the parks.

Book a 'Good Morning Fantasyland' breakfast (not sure if these are still available) someone on here will confirm.

Go to DLH at about 4pm to see the characters indoors (warmer and less frantic)

Make good use of Fastpass tickets

Pack snack bars, dried fruit etc for snacks around the park

Hope that helps. Have fun.:)

I have to disagree with using Fastpass if I am honest. I advise against them - I noticed on my trip that Fastpass lines where longer than the actual queue for the ride. So basically plan your route well and look closely at the timings provided for a good guess.

We done the same thing from breakfast as well - take rolls for our dinner and we come home with quite a bit of left over money and more than expected souvenirs thanks to this (great for a budget :thumbsup2).

Lastlly - make it fun! Don't make it too much of a rush and remember it is a holiday. We covered every single thing - meet and greets, every ride we wanted (most of them :cool1:), food, coffee breaks, shows and parades. All in only 2 DAYS! But still had amazing fun and did not feel like our plan made us rushed.

What types of things does this shop sell? Will be be able to purchase bottled water?

Yes there is a small grocery shop inside the station which sells water as well as things for snacks, sandwiches etc

Ive now come up with a new plan with regards to food. Im going to take a trip to tescos before I go and get some snacks and some water to take with us hopefully that will save us a little more money! xx

Is this shop easy to find? Having never been there I dont know how large the train station is......

I wonder if they will be open after the parks close at 6 pm. Or early before the park opens.......

the shop is called Relay, and its literally just inside the main door of the train station - go in and look to your right. They are open early in the morning for commuters, and right through until evening (to catch the commuter/Eurostar customers going through the station).

There's also the Esso garage next to the Santa Fe for bottles of pop and room munchies, and milk. They also sell wine a lot cheaper than the hotel shop!

When staying in hotels we take hot chocolate, few cup a soup/ pot noodle type snacks for the evening, tubes of sweets that can be rationed out in queues, crisps, and fruit (things have improved but still rare to find on the park and 1 euro for an apple last week!) Little boxes of raisins are good.
a box of sandwich bags might be easier than clingfilm - always a couple in your pocket.

When the park closes early, go on the busy rides when the 5pm parade is on, as lots of people are watching it and won't bother going all the way back to fantasyland for 30 minutes. We were on Pirates as they were closing up - very quiet!

Finally I totally agree with otwidalepda - make it fun!

Well, if you really want to make some shopping (food, bottled water)...Then...You can go to the Auchan Supermarket, in the Val d'Europe International Shopping Center. You need to take the RER A (in the station) towards "Val d’Europe / Serris / Montévrain" and the shopping center is near the station.

It's really cheaper than the Relay-shop.

We were just told that they no longer have the "Fantasyland" breakfasts (at least not if you have the Half-Board plan) and the FastPass lines were LONG! Honestly, the regular lines at most attractions were much longer..
One thing to note is that Disney Studios, although supposedly open at 10AM (while we were there), actually opened it's gates then, but the great majority of the rides not only were not open yet, but hadn't even been "tested" for the day yet. That resulted in very, very long lines for things like Crush's Coaster and the things in Toy Story playland area.
We also snagged a roll and cheese from breakfast for lunch, but the sheer amount of cigarette smoke from inconsiderate people in the park made breathing while walking around miserable, so finding a place to sit and eat wasn't easy either........

Just to point out - the Fastpass queues where too long for me - BTM for example had a 1hr 30 wait whereas the queue for Fastpass was nearly a 2hr queue (no word of a lie!) so we managed to cover ALL rides WITHOUT fastpass over 2 days and still had a lot of fun and many Meet and Greets. Others may disagree but this was my experience. As for Walt Disney Studios, the gates opened at 9:30 and ALL rides where running from then (barring Rock 'n' Roller which was broke for an undetermined amount of time).
