Ok so my slick son, who has designed a couple websights for his school is home. Now I open all my pictures in my hard drive and they are under macromedia Fireworks MX 2002:confused: He is gone now and told me not to worry its the same thing?? I have been thinking of doing a family website, does anyone have any experience with this software?

I'm sure Mr. Cricket can help when he gets back, Patrick. :)

Fireworks is a "web" image creator/editor. It can do most of the functions of a regular image editor, but it's not nearly as robust. I guess it depends on what you used to use compared to what MX can do (I have Fireworks 3).

Do you have specific questions?

Hmm I will once I start playing with it- I was just use to a photo imagining program I was using from Kodak

Fireworks will be much better for some things and may not be able to do other things at all. Macromedia's full blown image editor is "Freehand". Freehand is quite difficult to get used to. Fireworks is probably more what you would use for most web graphics.
