Does anyone have a recipe for good, creamy fudge?

For years, I've been using the recipe on the back of the Toll House morsels bag. It's good, but it just doesn't taste like fudge to me. Thanks!

There is one on the back of the Hershey's Cocoa can, at least there was. I agree with you on the Toll House morsel thing. If it required melted candy of any kind, it doesn't taste like real fudge, candy yes, fudge no.

I use the Eagle Brand recipe.

Basically you use a can of Evaporated Milk and 18 oz semi-sweet chocolate chips. Basically pour the Milk and chips in pan and melt together and there ya have it. I like to make Rocky Road fudge so I add nuts and marshmallows. If you go on the Eagle Brand site, you can find the recipe there, but it's simple!

I use the recipe on the back of the Kraft marshmallow creme jar, and it always comes out wonderful! It makes a good Peanut Butter fudge too.

This is the one I always use! I totally agree about the peanut butter fudge! I just use reese's peanut butter chips in place of the chocolate chips for the peanut butter fudge. I have my entire workplace and family begging for me to make it each year! Give it a try :lovestruc So easy, yet so delicious!

I agree this fantasy fudge recipe is delicious, we do peanut butter fudge with it by substituting peanut butter chips for the chocolate as well..... it is awesome!! Sometimes I put walnuts or pecans in the chocolate fudge, this works well too!!

I have a great one, that's my mom's. It can be kind of expensive to make, unless you can find the chocolate on sale. I have never found any fudge in the store/recipe that comes close to hers. If you want it, pm me,and I'll get it to you.

Did you mean sweetened condensed milk? I've done with with sweetened but never evaporated milk.

This sounds crazy, but the BEST fudge I have ever had is made with Velveeta... yep, the processed cheese. It is the smoothest, creamiest fudge ever. I have not used another fudge recipe since finding this one. You can find it on the velveeta website by searching for Velveeta Fudge. For some reason the link that I am trying to post is not working.

I had to look, cause I can't imagine Velveeta in fudge :rotfl: I may have to try this!

Sorry, i'm of no help to the OP (i'm trying to find a great fudge recipe too...am thinking of using this one though http://allrecipes.com/Recipe/Carnation-Famous-Fudge/Detail.aspx)

Just had to comment that the Velveeta fudge sounds disgusting, yet interesting!! :lmao: I'm not sure I could bring myself to pick up velveeta cheese AND chocolate chips together at the store!:rotfl:

Haha... the first time I had it, a friend had made it for a holiday party. Hands down, best fudge ever. She didn't want to give me the recipe because she didn't want anyone to know her secret. My guess is she didn't want anyone grossed out by the thought of it!

FYI, the carnation milk fudge recipe is the exact same one as the toll house morsel fudge. It's very good and many people like it but it's not hard fudge like the kind you buy at a candy store.
