Does anyone have a MNSSHP report??

Can someone that has been this year already please tell me what the t-shirts look like? Are they the orange short sleeved ones that the CMs greeting are wearing?

Was there a long wait to have your picture made at the picture spots? Not with the characters but the MNSSP pictures.

tynkrB, how did you do your Mouseketeer costumes? The girls are all going as Cinderella but Mouseketeer is something we could still do and be comfortable. Do you have a picture of ya'll I can see? Thanks!

the shirt is purple and tie-dyed. there is a picture of a castle on the front, with a mickey ghost, bat, and pumpkin (I think, LOL). it also says Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party 2003 on the front. Similar to last year's design...only purple instead of black. I wish they were like the CMs wear--they are adorable!

we had our pic taken at 6:30, the line went very fast.....

Mouseketeer outfits were really easy

Got short sleeve mock turtlenecks at Walmart for $5.00 each
Got sticky back felt letters at Michaels.
Wore black shorts (to hot for pants)
Got mouse ears with our names on them when we got to the park.

Was there on Oct. 3 - What a blast.

Having dinner at LTT or CP before was great. They drop the ropes to everywhere but Tomorrowland right before 7PM. Adventureland, Frontierland, Liberty Square were almost empty and we accomplished a great deal while everyone was still in Tomorrowland. Family Picture, trick or treating, rode Splash Mtn. twice without getting off, etc. It was great.

I thought the Parade was the best thing - fantastic!

You can get in with your Not So Scary tickets starting at 4 on the ferry boat side turnstiles.
Everyone is welcome to wear a costume! Even adults! In fact most people are wearing them! The only guidelines are that they be family friendly (no blood and gore, please!) That if you have a prop it not be obscenley large and that if you do come as a disney character you refrain from posing for pictures and sining autographs!
See you there, guys! Look for me! My name tag says "Michelle (Gaithersburg, MD)!! I love working the NSS so hopefully you all will have fun playing!!

Can you please tell me where you can find all 7 dwarfs?

How was it and who were the characters there?

I was at the parties on Oct 3 and Oct 5. The dwarves were out for both. I saw them in a couple of different spots, but every time they were in Fantasyland. Usually they were near the Carousel, where Merlin's sword is, and near the line for Cinderella's coach. One time they were a little nearer towards Dumbo/Teacups.

On Oct 5, all seven posed on a bench near the Carousel, and people could get photos with all seven at once! I wish I had time to do that! :) I did get individual photos with all seven, so I hope the photos come out OK in the dark!

As for characters, that is my favorite part of the party - there were some really unusual ones out!!! Here is a list of characters meeting and greeting:

Aladdin, Jasmine
Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Goofy, Chip, Dale
Malificent, Radcliffe, Frollo, Queen of Hearts
Stromboli, Big Bad Wolf, Pain, Panic
Jafar, Cruella, Snow White Witch, Scrooge!
Cinderella, Fairy God Mother
Goliath the Gargoyle, Rollie Pollie Ollie, Zoe
Stanley, Snow White, Doc
Sneezy, Sleepy, Bashful, Dopey, Grumpy, Happy
Phoebus, Esmeralda, Clopin, Quasimodo

There were probably more, since I never made it to Tomorrowland! I got some great pic's and signatures! :) :)

This will be our 3rd year in a row. It is a must do for any disney fan! The Kingdom goes all out and the atmosphere is awesome!!

Thank you for the info on the dwarfs. I really love seeing those little guys and they are so hard to find. I can't believe they have that many characters out, this is going to be alot of fun :)

I'm leaving tomorrow for WDW and I'm so excited!!!!

tynkrB, I LOVE the costume!!! Great job and idea!

madge, thanks for the great description on the t-shirts. They sound cute.

Flower4Pwr & poohangel, hope to see ya'll there!

Was there a show in front of the Castle? If so, what time was it at.

I am VERY excited about this and I plan on going early!

Ooh, I was already kinda worried how my "witch" costume would be at MNSSHP (not scary.... but still....) -now I really like the idea of dressing as a Mouseketeer. I always wanted to be one! LOL

I wonder how hard it would be to find that s/s mock turtleneck though... I'm sure I could find the letters, already planned on getting the ears.... and have black shorts! Definitely going to look for that shirt. :)

I wonder if I would look goofy doing this by myself though- I mean it's a solo trip.... not with the family also dressed as mouseketeers-yanno? Aw who cares what anyone else thinks. LOL

Did I read correctly that someone MET Scrooge and the Hag (snow white witch)!?!? Those are my fiance and I's 2 MOST favorite characters! They were not out at the 2001 MNSSHP, and we were disappointed. Could someone confirm the info? Thanks!

Glad you are all having a good time at MNSSHP. We were there last year and had the best time. BTW, did anyone see the headless horseman at the start of the parade or the witch flying down from Cindy's castle? :Pinkbounc

Yes!!! Scrooge and The Hag were out on October 5th party!! I was there, and love meeting characters. I pretty much did nothing but look for characters at the party - I think I did only two rides that whole night!

Scrooge and the Hag were out in front of the castle meeting and greeting and doing autographs. They were usually out after the Cinderella show, unless the parade was starting soon. When I first saw Scrooge, I first thought he was Donald in some type of costume, but then I realized this was no Donald! Scrooge was wearing red and blue, and had glasses, and signed my book "Scrooge McDuck" - he tried to make me pay him for his autograph! Always about money! :)

When I met the Snow White Witch Hag, she was trying to get everyone to hold her apple! No way will I touch that! She was fun to interact with! :)

So YES - they were both there!!! I never ever seen either character before, so I was thrilled!!!!! :) Wish I had my film developed yet, or I would post the photos!

It was sooo much fun. We met some other Disers in front of the
Haunted Mansion.
I was also shocked to find COP was open. They told me it would
be open for all the Halloween parties. Me and my DH rode it at 1145pm by ourselves, it was really weird being in there alone.

:hyper: I am so happy to hear the COP will be open for the parties. I have never seen it but have heard so many good reviews from fellow disers that I cant wait to ride it

see ya there:wave2:

Went last night-faboolous!!!

COP open, pins are adorable, the witch came down mid show from the castle.

Very crowded tho and the crowds kept up all night, the photo lines were ridiculous so we only had 1 taken at 1145 pm when it was slower.

Do not miss the parade- absolutely adorable, and Minnie mouse is in her backyard gazebo shortly after 7 we started out in toon town and saw her without a wait. Mickey is in front of his house. The lines to see them grew very quickly so start out there if it is important to you!

Have fun everyone- it was a great time!

Still loving all the reports!!!

I leave tomorrow... doing MNSSHP Thur night...tooooooooo EXCITED!!!:bounce: :bounce:

Y'all have a great week!!!

Disfan! Can you tell me what time the show in front of the castle began and is there a late show or just one. I went a few years ago and I thought there was only one show.

Thanks!
