Does anyone else's kids think CR is only Chef Mickey's??

I just get the biggest kick out of my daughter when she sees CR for the first time when we are on the monorail and screams, "Look, there's Chef Mickey's!" To this day she still doesn't know it is really a hotel too and since we eat there every vacation I guess I can't blame her for not knowing. I guess we have to stay there soon but for now I won't correct her. It is too cute.

My son is the same. He's 7 now and he does realize that there is a resort in there too. So now he insists we stay there next time for easy access to Chef Mickey's! Kids are funny!!!!

My triplets call it the "Chef Mickey Hotel"! It's their favorite because of CM and the monorail going through the center. They love standing in the hall outside our room in the tower and looking down at CM. So, we'll be there for our 2nd time in Feb. Can't wait!

I remember my families very 1st trip to WDW in July 1996 when we were going to the Magic Kingdom. We were staying off site at a Hampton Inn and while we were on the Express Monorail, we saw the people eating at Chef Mickey's and my parents said that place looks expensive and so does the hotel and then said I don't think we would ever stay there. Well 2 years later in May 1998 we had our 1st stay at the Contemporary and also went to Chef Mickey's that same trip.

My oldest DD (turning 8 in October) has always referred to the Contemporary as the "Monorail's House" ever since her first trip just before turning 3 years old. LOL

The CR was our first DW hotel so DD knows it is a hotel BUT she keeps asking when we are going to stay there again. Um dear, when we get that awesome deal again! (aka .. never )

How funny my kids think of it as the contempary since we didnt eat at CM on our last visit
