I mean seriously? My DS 3 will take any opportunity he can get and tie things up. It's frustrating because he's always making a mess of things from IPhone headphones to belts to whatever he can find. If it can be tied, it will be tied, just give him two seconds. Anyone else have this unusual problem?

Yes we do. DD#1(5) always wants to tie up people around the wrist and say she is taking them to jail. Think she got that from FIL who is a deputy sheriff. And she is always tying yarn to her little figurines like polly pockets etc. That drives DD#2(3) nuts and she is always trying to untie them. But DD#2 likes to take a jump rope and tie it to stuff and drag it around. She was entertained for nearly an hour at a family party that was held outdoors by tying a jump rope to a wiffle ball bat and running around in the yard with it like she was walking her dog :rotfl2: At home she has done that in our yard by tying her rope to a big plastic sand shovel. And in the house she has something tied to the necks of nearly all her stuffed animals from belts, shoelaces, playsilks, and jump ropes.

Yes!! My son ties everything together and makes "trains" He takes our dog leash and attaches it to a whole bunch of things and pulls them around for hours. You are not alone

Your post made me smile. DS is now 16yo and yes, he was obsessed with tying things together when he was a toddler. He routinely tied all of the drawer handles on his dresser together and even went so far as to tie the door handle to it as well.

Just a word of caution: After he discovered tying things up, he discovered how scissors worked. :rotfl:

:rotfl: I guess I better make sure the scissors are well out of reach!

I had to laugh when I saw the title because my son went through this for about a year. Most of his stuffed animals still have yarn leashes.
