tear up when the enter the Magic Kingdom for the first time? On every one of my trips I have gotten all misty walking down Main Street for the first time. I am sure it will be even worse this time, because my 4 yr old niece i soooo excited ! The rest of my family think I am nuts!:crazy2: Please tell me I am not alone!

You are not alone! I think you will find a lot of people here who can relate! We all love Disney!:wave2:

I just love the place it brings back so many wonderful memories of the magic I've shared with family and friends, which some are not with us anymore.::yes:: :wave2:

Walking down Main Street for the first time of the trip brings tears to my eyes as well... I can't wait to cry again!!!

:wave2: princess:

I only tear up when they force me to leave at the end of the day. <a href='http://www.smileycentral.com/?partner=ZSzeb008' target='_blank'><img src='http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/4/4_9_8.gif' alt='Walking Home Crying' border=0></a>

On the last night of the vacation, we always go to MK. AS I walk out and get my last look at the castle all lit up, I always cry. DH even took a picture of it once.

It's just something in me. When I first walk down Main Street, I have this sensation of being home. The memories and anticipation of the vacation ahead just settles in then.

I haven't been yet, I am planning a Dec 2005 trip. I tear up just thinking about it though!!

One of the best sights is at the end of night, walking down main street, and seeing the castle change colors in the darkness. It can really make you a little misty.

I don't usually tear up but I swear to God that if I saw my reflection as I walked on to Main Street I would see a 5 year old me with the goofiest grin you ever saw. :p

HappyGramma, that sounds like a commercial! And a great one at that!!

I usually tear up at the fireworks, and fantasmic, and sometimes watching my kids expressions to different things!

You are not alone! I cry when I walk in to the MK, MGM, Epcot, the Wonder or the Magic... you get the idea..... I also cry when they make me leave! I got misty just reading this thread....I have to go now...

CLC Tiger Pom Mom :cheer2:

I've noticed for our last few trips-- I haven't been as emotional when I first get there or see the castle, ect...
However, I find I get very misty eyed when I see the castle- for what I know will be the last time that trip. I literally crawl at a snail's pace down Main Street for my last MK day on each trip lately. Even if I have 3 more days at WDW--- if I'm not coming to MK again-- I get really teary eyed.

So glad that I am among so many other nuts here! I couldn't stop the tears when DD saw Cindy for the first time, when Tink flew right over us, and leaving MK that last night and Mickey on the train platform telling us how much he enjoyed visiting with us. I soooooooo wish we lived closer!!!

Fireworks!!! This will tear me up everytime. Powerful music soundtracks accompanied by flying charcters aka Tarzan and LOTLK. Any character talking/interacting with my children. Parades, seeing Bear from the Big Blue House for the first time (I know, you don't have to say it).
Finally, getting the PS I wanted for the PSB.
Oh, one more, my planning video and soppy pictures, reports on these DIS boards. All magic disney moments to me!

Much pixie dust,
Claire

I cry everytime I walk into MK for the first time on a trip. I try not to because I know I look like an idiot. A grown woman with no children crying in the middle of Main Street. I just can't help. I even cry when I see the castle on our videos. I think I need therapy.

Maybe we can get a group rate :D because I think we all need it just as badly as you!!! Maybe it's the people who DON'T tear up, that actually need the therapy ;) .

I guess I'd fit into that therapy group too. I'm glad to hear I'm not the only one. It is not just walking down Main St either, seeing the characters with my kids, Wishes, just about anything Disney. Heck, I even got a little misty just reading these posts.

I think the end of the trip though is the toughest for me, my husband always teases me about it!

Oh, I just can't wait for the next Kleenex moment, counting the days!
