Does anyone else think this is a good idea for Disney?

I think It would be great if Disney put in a Kid's Club at SSR. I think it would be great because parents could leave their kids at the club and be able to take advantage of the Spa, golf and DTD.

There is a lot to do at SSR for adults and I think Disney is missing out on $$$ by not offering a Kid's Club on location.

As a parent, I would use a Kid's Club closest to the location I plan to visit. I would love to go out with my DH for a night out at DTD or do a couple's massage. However, I wouldn't say use a the KC at VWL and travel to DTD or SSR for a massage. I like to be close by in case my kids need me.

Anyone else think this is a good idea?

dvc has a tendency to close Kid clubs not make new ones.

there are more single/couples/other families at DVC than the ones with family with small children.

so until this changes - don't count on it.

besides Neverland at Polyn is definitely the most popular with the kids. so if you want a place for them to stay that they will love
and beg you to let them go back too - just take them to the Polyn - Neverland

I think it's a great idea since our next stay will be at the THV. Can we use other kids' clubs?

My kids are all grown (the youngest is 13). However, we used the kids clubs when they were younger and I completely agree with you. SSR would be the perfect place for a kids club. One could particpate in spa treatments, golf, or DTD shopping, dining, and cirque. I would suggest you send a request to Disney. If enough people did this it might happen.

I'm not a parent, I don't have kids...

but given the sheer size Of SSR, and the fact that it is adjacent to OKW, another large resort...a kids club would tend to make sense. Even if there is a smaller percentage of travelers with small kids, a club shared by these two larger resorts could still probably be profitable.

But kids' clubs only operate after 4 or 5 PM for evening hours and the spa and the golf course could be closed or closing before you even got your kids booked into the club. Plus with all the adult venues closed down at DTD (Pleasure Island has closed all the clubs) I couldn't see them having a lot of business based on spa, DTD or golf course patrons.

I wonder what kind of business all the other kids' clubs get now with PI closed.

The one at Boardwalk closed awhile ago. I always thought that would be a good spot for a marketplace like they have at BC (it was on the boardwalk level under the lobby). The Bakery is too small.

I wonder KIDS NITE OUT pays them a bit to be called the preferred childcare providor to the WDW resorts?

We have never used the kids clubs because my boys have not been old enough together, ie one is now and one isn't and if I have to pay someone I would rather them stay together.

On our first trip to WDW, our son (4 at the time) and our two nieces (9 and 11) who came with us went to the Neverland Club at the Polynesian. I don't remember what we did (Bill and I) while they were at the club, but they had a pretty good time and weren't all that eager to leave when we picked them up. Of course our son wasn't so eager to climb through Wendy's window when we arrived until his two cousins did and then he followed them.
