Does anyone else think that Joy Behar is the most classless freak on TV..??????

So many times I've seen Joy Behar (the redhead on The View) say something that was extremely tacky, but I've resisted making a thread over it.

I JUST was watching the opening of The View and apparently she brought a camera to her co-host's (Star Jones) wedding, when there were STRICT rules to not bring ANY recording devices. Now, regardless of whether or not you think anyone should tell their guests to not bring a camera to a wedding, I think it was classless and extremely rude of her to do so.

Grrr....I just can't stand this woman and I don't understand why she's still on this show. The rest of the women all have their pros and cons, mostly pros, but Joy Behar is a freak.

P.S. I realize she's supposed to be a "comedian" but I don't think she's ever funny; she's just stupid.

I don't watch that show or know much about her.

What does Star Jones think of her friend and co-worker going against her wishes?

I admittidly did not see this but do you think it was a pre-planned publicity kind of thing? Like you aren't supposed to but for ratings could you sneak this in?
I can take Joy or leave her usually.

I have to say that for several years I loved watching the View (I would say 1998-2002). Joy would say some grating things, but whatever....but I just can't watch it anymore. She grates on me so badly, and sometimes Starr will say something equally annoying. I tried watching it a few times this summer/fall because I think Elisabeth is so cute, and I mostly enjoy Meredith, but the episode I tuned into was soooooooooooooooooooooooooo political it made me mad. Barbara or Meredith congratulated Elisabeth on the opportunity to speak at the Republican convention and just like that, I swear before Elisabeth could get 3 words in, Joy and Starr starting bashing the Republican party. And it's not just that I took it personally, but for gosh sake----it WASN'T YOUR TURN TO TALK!!!!!!!!! It's like they had to rip the opportunity away to say ANYTHING positive about Republicans and it was just distasteful in my mind.

I have been thinking about watching it this week cause I want to see some coverage about Starr's wedding- she's been fantasizing about her wedding since the show began practically, and I want to see what she did. Is she off this week and will be back next week?

Star Jones did not sound happy at all. In fact, she said her family was upset because she had told all of them to NOT bring cameras either, and apparently everyone except Joy Behar respected her wishes.

I don't think it was a publicity stunt. I don't think any of the pictures have popped up anywhere. They didn't show any of them on the show, maybe the film hasn't been developed yet.

I didn't see the show yesterday, but Star Jones was there today. I don't watch this show very often, maybe once or twice a week, at the most. I just can't stand Joy Behar, and I think that how she disrepected Star's request was very tacky of her.

I think the whole show is a bunch of mindless freaks.

I tape The View each day and watch it in the evening, after work. So, not having seen this episode yet, I can't comment. But I will say that Joy, on many occasions, goes too far for my taste. Being hurtful to guests or not following a friend's request at her WEDDING (if that is was happened) is just in poor taste. Unfortunately, Joy is often in poor taste and always justifies it in the name of "humor"...too bad it isn't funny.

Alice28, Star is on the show this week through Thursday and then will leave for her honeymoon.

I have watched it on and off for a while now. I have to say that the entire show is losing it's appeal for me. And Joy doesn't seem so funny any more. It's like she's totally bored and she's trying to hard

I would be extremely upset if my friend did not honor my wishes at my wedding.

I quit watching the show on a regular basis because I can't stand Joy Behar.

Dr. Atkins was a guest shortly before his death. At the time I was seriously debating whether I wanted to try the Atkins diet and was looking forward to his appearance on the show. I couldn't hear a word as she was talking over everything he said. She does it all the time with guests.

I'm pretty sick of her politics, too. I'm glad she's a liberal and happy with her choice. I just don't want to hear about it EVERY day.

And, she's definitely not funny. Who told her she was a comedian?

So, I don't watch the show. Except for yesterday because of Star's wedding. I wanted to hear about it from her.

So, yes, I think she's classless and rude. I'm not surprised that she would take a camera to the wedding against the wishes of her friend and co-worker. It was just plain tacky.

I didn't see the show today--I hope she apologized?

I feel the same way - used to love the View but Joy & Star get on my nerves. Meredith is OK but I love Elizabeth. I don't watch it much anymore. I can't believe Star didn't go on her honeymoon yet.

I didn't see the show yesterday; did Star talk about the wedding?? If so, I'm surprised she didnt bring these things up yesterday. Unless she was trying to focus on the positive things yesterday, and decided to wait until today to talk about this.

Another thing: One does not acquire class with age; as evidenced today on the show. Apparently Elizabeth tried to change someone's placecard at their table at the wedding, and after she changed a card or two, a lot of the cards got changed by other people, and the show's producer, I think his name is Bill??, he and his wife got put down the opposite end of the table (He was supposed to be at the head of the table). When Star was mentioning this, Elizabeth explained what happened, apologized several times, and took full blame for what happened even though she personally did not move most of the cards that got moved.

On the otherhand, there's Joy, trying to make lame excuses for bringing the camera with her. So, inaminute, NO, Joy did not apologise for it. I think THAT is what got me so aggravated about the situation!!! If she had said "I was wrong, I wanted to take some pics for whatever reason, but I shouldn't have brought the camera", I'd at least had respect for her acknowledging what she did.

Yes, she talked about the ceremony and the wedding in general. A little about some of the guests and her family. Joy talked about how she and Steve went up to the balcony to watch the ceremony rather than stay where they were supposed to be.

I'm not surprised Joy didn't apologize. I wouldn't have liked her any better, but it would have been the right thing for her to do.

There is something about comedians in general that just grates on me (think Robin williams) I couldn't imagine living and working with that kind of a person every day, i'd be so annoyed. Not everything is funny nor should be made into a joke.

As far as The View, that show is impossible to watch because they talk all over each other and maul the guests. It reminds me of some horrible after college interviews where you're on a firing squad.

The View lost me before they even aired. Their promos went something like "If YOU think you have someting to talk about, just wait until you see what WE have to say". Oh, like the rest of us are to stupid to have anything interesting to say. That is - until we watch your show and you tell us what intersting is. Insulting me isn't a good start.

I've only watched it a few times, but Joy seems like a jealous person. She always looks kind of "mean faced" like she is mad at someone. I can't understand what people see in her, unless I'm reading her wrong!::yes::

How weird. I've watched The View exactly once, and it was that very episode. In fact, I tuned into it right at that part. The whole thing was extremely irritating since Elisabeth was clearly proud, and the other two were just plain rude to her. I sure haven't felt like watching the show again.

Of course, I'm not exactly their target audience.

I watch probably twice a month and I saw that episode too! I also thought it was rude. I turned it on briefly yesterday to see what they said about the wedding, but it was pre-empted by Colin Powell on the news.
