You are a genius! This may work for us this trip as we will be driving our car to the parking lots - it wouldn't in past trips as we relied on Disney transportation. By the time you return you should be able to get a pretty good spot in the parking lots - so no fear there. You should also be able to zip around when in your own car pretty fast between destinations. Not a bad suggestion if you want to break out of the parks for a little bit.
I just also wanted to say to those who say you have to take a break that I was not as detailed as I should have been about our not taking breaks out of the park but finding quiet areas for naps. We never, even with shorter hours, stayed till closing with our wee one. We usually made it at the most to 4pm. So essentially we are taking a break - a big one - to go back and swim for a bit, get showered and ready for dinner. This is what works for us and by doing it this way there is no way we can stop for a two hour nap plus tansport time in the middle of the day. Again, my DS is a napper in his stroller so he can stay and still will be a joy throughout the day. It really just depends on how you set up your day. We go early and then leave early.
When we used to go alone, pre-child, whenever we took midday breaks due to heat or just needing some down time, we never had the strength to go back in. We always just lazied out and would head off to DTD or International Drive - I just hit my limit on hassles and get totally lazy about going back - its sooo easy not to. I am a lazy park goer must be. When I am there - let's go, go go - but take me out and it takes a lot to get me back in.
