Does anyone else save their calendars?

I have the last 6 years of calendars put away. When I start my new one I always look back through it.

But I haven't thrown them away, it's like parting with our past I guess ;) It's kind of fun to see what you had planned on what previous year's summer, that kind of thing.

Anyone else like to go thru them every now and then?

I do, too. We recently moved and I brought them all with us!

We used to save them for memories, but the past couple of years we have been using the computer calendar for events and appointments. Like those pop up reminders.::MickeyMo

I need mine in case something comes up with my ex-husband because everything is written in there in regard to visitation and phone calls with my daughter. I learned last year that I needed to start saving them.

I try to save them but if DH finds them he throws them out. I do have the ones from the years the kids were born, though.

I usually save them for a year. I just added the 2004 pages to my planner, and I put January through November in the file drawer. I will replace the 2003 pages in the file next November when I add 2005 to the planner.

We have a big tear off month-by-month desk calendar. Every new month that comes along, I tear off the previous and I always save them -- I don't know why. It's almost like tossing out the duplicate photo prints that you don't really want/need. Just can't get rid of them. Just another thing I add to my stash of stuff.

I find keeping old calendars to be very valuable. I've had credit card issues, dentist problems, all sorts of stuff that was easily resolved by checking last year's calendar.

I have the big wall calendar that everything gets written on but I also have one of those smaller pocket calendars. I transfer everything from the big one to the small one and I keep the small ones. I think I have them from 1988 on.
I call them the "diary of our family life". It is amazing how helpful they can be if you need to figure something out.

I am really bad...I have the past 13, 14 years...I don't remember things really well so when I look back it is like a journal for me...and I realize how busy I was!...I'm a packrat what can I say but I think it can be a good thing!

Dang it holycow! I thought I was going to have this one licked!;)
I started saving my calendars back in 1990, so that is 13yrs.

I started because my dd had serious medical issues and I needed to have all of the appts., illnesses, etc...easily looked up quickly.

Well then I realized that my family life is on those calendars...:) So I am going to save them...one of my guilty pleasures I suppose.

I save them for tax reasons. I keep notes of business trips, charity trips and expenses, etc. on them.
So I just pack them away with all the other tax things and receipts.

We save our calendars too. When we moved, we stopped to look through them and it brought back alot of memories. We realized how busy we are! I put every appointment and kids' event on the calendar. One year our April was completely filled sometimes with multiple events on one day! It's fun to go back in time.

I thought I was the only one that did this. Mine go back to 1971. I always wished that I could keep a daily journal but my calendar notes are the best I can do. For the last several years I have used 3-year calendars from Miles Kimbal. That way I don't have as many to put in my file cabinet. My daughters used to tease me about my calendars but now they also use them.
