Does anyone else need a dictionary when reading some threads?

I have read 3 threads today and came across the following words and I have no idea what they mean

squicked
insularity
taterots
fecundity

It seems like as the topic becomes more heated, the bigger the words get. I don't know... maybe I'm just being stupid today

I'm getting a thesarus!!!!

insularity - a closed environment or community
Tater-tots - Ore Ida tater tots! Those frozen bite size hash browns.
Fecundity - fertility

These are all from the same thread, right? Let me guess, something about the Duggars?

I use Google's "define: _______" feature so much it's not even funny! I always like to learn new words. I had to look up "pragmatic" today.

I've found out that making up your own definition is actually much more fun than looking up what the word really means.

As much as I'd love to expand my vocabulary, I'm home with 2 DD's all day and they don't seem to understand, "don't slam the door." I don't want to start totally confusing them with fecundity or anything....

I have this awesome extension for my Firefox browser, I highlight a word, anywhere on the web, and right click and I have an option to look up the word on dictionary.com. Saves tons of time on Duggars threads .
