Does anyone else have to wear socks with their shoes?

I love the look of so many shoes, especially flats, but I just can't stand having my foot in a shoe without socks. It really limits my selection of footwear because so many things can't be worn with socks. Am I the only one with this strange sock fetish?

It depends on the shoe. A sandal or open-toe= no socks!

Flats=no socks (but yes on the Dr. Sholls foot spray!)

Tennis shoes or anything that covers the whole foot=socks!

But, with flats, they do sell those liners which are being better made every day. I used to find them too big, that they showed too much. Target has some nicer ones in a "low cut" that works well.

I have to wear socks with everything except flip-flops. If I don't wear socks, I get blisters. I've tried foot sprays - I get blisters. I've tried moleskin on blister-prone areas and those little footie-sock-things that cover the foot but in turn are supposed to be covered by the shoe - both slip and I get blisters. So I've given up - and I search out unique socks!

I am also physically uncomfortable without socks, and I'm physically and mentally uncomfortable with my toes exposed with sandals, etc. The toe thing is not so much out of vanity, but because I'm paranoid that I'll injure my toes or toenails somehow. But it's also just uncomfortable.

I love the clothes and style on "What Not To Wear", but the shoes are what would get me into trouble if I was ever on. They almost never get to wear shoes with socks.

I'm the same way. I hate shoe shopping for cute shoes because I know that I won't be able to wear them. I have basic, plain shoes that are comfy. No cute flats for me!

My problem is that my heals crack so badly wearing sandals, etc. I have been wearing them a lot this summer and my heal show it.

This! :thumbsup2 I feel uncomfortable in shoes without socks underneath them. It seems so odd but when I try and wear flats or sandals, it is something I am consciously thinking about the entire time. I am so weird.
