I like the way it looks, but I am concerned with how it holds up and how comfortable it is. The add said some assembly required. I know we can do that fine, but it did seem strange to me.

We bought a chair once that said assembly required. All that meant was that we had to screw the little wooden feet on.

::yes::
We've had furniture like that too.

I saw those chairs at the SuperTarget by us. They look very nice.

They look nicer than the IKEA type (at least when I was looking for that style). I have seen similiar ones at a place called value city by the brand American Signature. We have the couch from American SIgnature and have had no problems. It holds up very well.

That is what I was thinking. We are going to go tomarrow and look at them. For about $500 for both chairs and the ottoman I think it is a risk I am willing to take. Now should be do brown or black???????

I have an IKEA chair like that. We love it and the target one looks even fluffier, more cushion for my butt :teeth: I would rather pay $220 for a chair like that than $500 for a lazyboy. Our chair is indeed pretty easy to move.

How much was you Ikea one? I remember looking at them in store last year, but when I looked on line they were not listed. I really wanted the recliner kind at Ikea, but the others with otoman would work too.

It is between these at Targe an Ikea. Target is close to home. Ikea take up the full day to visit and get through the store (still a fun day, I like that place.)

We have them in our sitting room at the Massage clinic I work in. We have the sueded version vs the leather ones, and they are VERY comfortable. You should enjoy them.

I sat in one several months ago. My son and I decided the constuction was pretty weak and would not hold up in our house-we are hard on furniture. I think the look is really nice. Do you have kids or adults who plop down and hang themselves on furniture? I'd suggest finding one and looking it over.

DH was considering buying that exact chair for his office - until he sat down in the floor sample and if was broken in three places! We figured if Target couldn't keep the floor sample in good shape it wasn't worth our money - didn't want to risk getting it home and having it break in month.

No, but I saw that one in the store and thought it looked very stylish. I would buy that one if I had any room left to put it.

DF and I almost purchased that very chair at Target, but when we both sat in it we agreed that it was not very comfortable.

I hope this isn't considered hijacking, but allong the same lines of the OP's question, has anyone bought any furniture from llbean? This is the couch I'm considering.http://www.llbean.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/CategoryDisplay?page=leather-ultralight-sofa&categoryId=42313&storeId=1&catalogId=1&langId=-1&parentCategory=4271&cat4=2102&shop_method=pp&feat=4271-tn I would get it in the dark brown.

That does look nice, clean and simple and never goes out of style. Good price too. LL bean is a good name, and shipping isn't any more then you would pay from a store. The only down side is you can't sit on it before buying it.

I think we are going to target today to look at the chairs. If it looks good we will buy them. If not I guess I will try Ikea later. It is just a big ordeal to go over there I don't know when we will ever get to it. I really want the chairs soon.

I love the brown....let us know how it turns out. I've been looking at this chair for my bedroom.

I'm pretty sure the IKEA ones are around $250 each. I can't remember exactly because we paid under $150 for ours since we got it out of "as-is" It had a little rip on the arm which I sewed up right when we got home and you can't even tell, and I got it on huge sale :teeth: I don't know that I would have paid full price for it at the time, but now living in it for over a year we're planning on getting it a partner when we move.

Hope you enjoy your trip to target today! Ours in NJ had those chairs on display yesterday, hopefully yours does too.

We went and got 2 chairs today. It was pretty painless really (Target shopping isn't always.) They didn't have the ottoman, but as it was we could fit nothing else in the van anyway. I guess we will have to get it later (many other stores near us did have it.)

I decided on brown, since we have more brown in our house instead of black. We got them home, and out of the box. Sure looks black to me. Box says brown on both. You need to lock the back on them and strew in the legs, not too bad. We get the 2nd one out, that one looks a little more brown then the other. Wait, now that one looks brown and that one black????? I guess we will have to live with 2 chairs, that may or may not be black or brown. It depends on the light.

They are pretty comfortable, and small (I wanted that.)

We also got 2 of these folding chairs that sit on the floor and rock for $13 each, they are cute. So we are doing better with setting around here. Just don't ask me what color they are.

Let us know how they hold up. I've been eyeing that chair for a while and if it ever goes on sale... ;)
