Does anyone else have a "quick sick" kid?

I swear my daughter will be perfectly fine one minute and the next her fever shoots up and she is miserable! I have never seen a kid like that before.
She was fine and playing this morning and then all of a sudden she said "my ear hurts!" then 2 minutes later she has a fever and is laying on the couch crying. I just dont understand it!

We've experienced that with ours before. One Christmas Eve, I think it was 2 years ago, she was 3 then. She was fine all day, playing nicely and then she seemed to go down hill. She went downhill so fast/hard that we took her to the ER. The diagnosis: double ear infection, sinus infection and tonsillitis.

I must say though, my kids have the amazing ability to be so happy even when they are sick and feel like crap! Even my Dr commented that I have the happiest children ever, they can be feverish, have a horrible sore throat, whatever and they are still happy!

My DD9 can be that way. It is baffling.

Poor thing. I do hope she feels better just as quickly.

Yes. My daughter is 13 and hasn't outgrown that. She'll get a high fever and this glassy look in her eyes and I know that she'll be down for the count for at least a day. She is otherwise a healthy kid, though.

Been ok, we're on our way to Denver. J got a big promotion that we couldnt pass up so we are putting the house on the market.


She is upstairs cuddling with daddy right now so that usually helps. Now Im going to take her some hot cocoa.
The problem is she has had so many things to do with Drs that we only go as a last resort now outside of her regular stuff.


snowing like crazy here, Cam has a huge snowman going right now. Supposed to get a foot today and I believe it!

WOW! You're moving! Hubby got a big promotion??? That's an answer to prayer for sure!!! Are you excited??

I hope Cam got that snowman done. I've been wishing for snow but no such luck!!
