When you're at Disney World and you hear people talking like they know EVERYTHING about Disney....but everything they're saying is WRONG?! D:

Or! They walk by a ride and go: "Oh, yeah! I really liked that train roller coaster!" And you just kind of think to yourself "It's called Thunder Mountain..." ;>__<

OH! And then there are those people that call the Wilderness Lodge 'Fort Wilderness Lodge'. That bothers me. The Wilderness Lodge is NOT FORT WILDERNESS! THEY ARE DIFFERENT!

In Fort Wilderness....you camp out.
At the Wilderness Lodge, you get to enjoy the greatness of a hotel room. With a giant fireplace and restaurants and...clean toilets (not that the cabins at Fort Wilderness don't).

Oh! And then there are those people that go to the restaurants not realizing that they have to make reservations for them like WAY ahead of time. And because they can't get in, they get all angry at Disney and throw hissy-fits which, honestly, won't help them get into the restaurants any sooner. It's ridiculous.

They should create a Disney Ed class. Everything you need to know about Disney, before you go to Disney. Maybe that would help with all the issues. ::yes::

R E S E R V A T I O N S haha

Thank G0d for the DIS and disney guidebooks, right?

:thumbsup2

I honestly dont pay attention to those people, if they are throwing hissy fits its probably because they had a long day in the parks and are just hungry, it's not the most mature thing to do but hey what can I say?

i sometimes politely correct them.
you know. just so they dont get lost ;3

It doesn't really bother me, it just makes me feel smarter for knowing more than them. lol

I do get annoyed though when people get Disney Land, and WDW mixed up. lol

Big Thunder Mountain Railroad*

It's the stuff that people type on the DIS that annoys me more.
I hate going over to TPAS and seeing Soaring all over the place. That BOTHERS me.

They make me laugh. Honestly, some of their questions are SO stupid.

i wouldnt call their questions stupid, especially if they havent been before.
but really, if youre workin on your 10th visit and you still refer to the monorail as "the trams" or magic kingdom as "disney world", its time to pick up a guide book.

my mom has been to disney over 25 times and still calls the magic kingdom "disney world". She isnt disney ignorant, but she went so much in the 70s/80s when there was just a magic kingdom so shes use to saying that.

it annoys me, but i dont find it stupid or anything.

i dont think its stupid, it just annoys me.
and its not usually the adults that do it. its usually teenagers who think disney world is just a theme park.

But saying the full name can be a bit of a mouthful sometimes. Kind of like when a person's name is 'Fredrick' and go by 'Fred'. It's easier to use in a conversation, you know.

I don't have a problem with people shortening things. It's messing them up completely that gets annoying after a while. Especially when it's written right there on the web, books, maps and even on the signs in front of every ride/resort. :confused3

Last time we went to Disney this is how our ride on The Haunted Mansion went;

my mom grabbed he camera to take a picture of something.. (don't remember) it was during the ride. There was a man and his wife in the doombuggy behind us,
man- wow mrs. you can't take pictures in here!
mom- uhmm, excuse me, not to be rude but I didn't see a sign that said you couldn't??
man- no I don't think there is, but its just rdisespectful!

When we were walking out;
man- gah, people these day! at Universal you definitely couldn't do things like that.
my sister- good thing this isn't Universal, huh??
me- Mr. your in much need of some major pixie dust.

I smiled and walked away

When people don't know ride names doesn't annoy me. I don't pay attention

what ANNOYS me.. is when people think Universal Studios is Disney too?
OR
that people actually belive that there is Air conditioning in the Costumes.. that annoys me so much!

you most definately cannot take flash photographs inside rides in disney world. you know that big eye in the twilight zone scene in TOT? that had to be removed due to some damage done by flash photographs taken by people who "didn't see a sign saying they couldn't"

your mom was in the wrong here, and it sounds like you are the ones in need of some pixie dust. you're not the only people visiting disney world and doing things that could damage the attractions (such as flash photography) is very rude and disrespectful.
