Our family vacation to the Fort is coming up. We leave Oct 9th -early, early.

Between now and then, I find myself every single day counting down the number of days.

The number of work days I have between now and then.
The number of total days I have between now and then.

Is it just me?

You are not alone...........we arent going until NEXT October and I find myself doing the daily countdown as well. Even though my ticker at the bottom of my signature doesnt seem to move very fast, as least I know the days are dwindling. (slowly.....but sureley)

We do this for all of our Disney trips mind you this time I find it odd that we aren't actually doing this. Not sure if it is because we are camping at Disney or what but it just doesn't seem to have that same magic this time around. Last year teh kids made a huge paperchain that started at 250 days out and we counted down that way but nothing not even from them for this trip.

We are beginning to count down the time. DH just made a reservation for us to stay one night on the way down. Since we are retired, we don't have to do all the driving in one day.

oh yes we had the days counting down on the calendar . then before you know it we were on our way home.

Ok, so if my calculations are correct......I have exactly 405 days, 16hrs and 15 min until we are checking in at The Fort. I am excited I am past the 499 mark! Woohooo.....

You see, it's just killing me that we haven't told the kids yet (DD-8, DS-6). We are 'trying' to keep it a surprise until they pick up on it ....at the gates of Disney!! For all they know, we are going camping. Which is true ... we are ....at Disney baby!!

This is so much harder on me!

Me at work ..... counting down the seconds .... reading the DIS on my lunch ....

Me at home ..... after the kids go to bed .... reading the DIS before I go to bed ......

My wife ....enough said.
