Does Anyone Else Do This?

I just type up*a word document with each park's hours, and I include on that where we will probably go and include our ADR #'s on it. It is so much easier to plan where you want to go based on hours (extra magic). It is crazy not to at least plan your parks around your ADR's or vice versa. There is nothing worse than a potential hunger/overheat meltdown and have to wait in a fast food line!

Not only do we do something similar and laminate it (we actually bought a small laminator just for that) but we also had it spiral bound into a small, 4x6 book!!! For us, planning is 1/2 of the fun! And we don't always stick to our touring plans; aside from which park which day and ADR's. However, as we are the types to say "What do you want to do now?" and get the response "I don't know..." we need to have a plan so we don't end up fighting about who chooses where we go!

oh, this is my favorite idea so far!!!! perfectly up my alley!

That sounds wonderful! I am planning a trip for our kids and grandparents and would love something like this. Would you mind sharing? If so, would you be able to email me a copy of the template you put together? My email is cwojchik@charter.net.

Thanks so much!:yay:

I do all that, the schedules, the laminating, etc.

In fact, in looking through my old Disney stuff I found these lists I'd made for a Disney trip when I was about 12 years old.

My packing list (I don't know what's with all the columns, "set up", "packed", "loose" :confused3 I know what checkmarks mean but have no idea what little circles with dots in them denote. :rotfl2: And I apparently owned a "new" pink top AND a "new new" pink top. :lmao: ):

My schedule for Day 1 (yes, I listed "window" as one of the things to do on the plane. And, yes, I penciled in "eat, drink and be merry" as a "to do". :rotfl: ):

:rotfl: first of all, you MUST be my age- between the mesh top & the OP shorts! 2nd of all, those lists are hilarious!!!

Yep, I'm another one that does it - I also print out menus where we plan to eat and work out a rough cost so that I can budget the money. I keep all the plans in folders so that I can look at it as a reference for next visit (this will be our 5th time) so I have 4 folders for reference now.
If we do anything out of order then I change it on the plan and when we get back after our vacation I alter that page to print off - it acts as a diary and a great keepsake! :thumbsup2

DH thinks I'm nuts too. I plan 2 alternate itineraries with different ADRs for TS meals then decided about a week out (or day of LOL!) which I want to use. I (being computer graphic illiterate!) draw my spreadsheets with hours of park/parades/ meal plans and ADR numbers. I have a separate list for MK and Epcot of ride order (which to FP and when) that I carry. Here's an idea for those like me that don't have a laminator though. My MIL introduced me to the virtues of xerox! We have a home xerox so I just make about 10 copies of the itinerary and if I lose it (likely) there's always another! I carry 1 in a ziplock so it doesn't get wet! I like the notecard idea...might try that this trip..oh in about 3 days! :goodvibes DH also has an i-phone so this trip will bookmark steve soares and allears.net in case we want a menu reference!

No, we don't plan that much. We plan which parks which days, and make ADRs but that's where we stop. I type up a schedule but we keep it in the room, and we definitely don't plan where we're going to eat CS. And honestly, we usually change it a ton while we're there.

To ME, this is a lot more fun. I'd hate having to stick to a schedule.
