I was speaking to a friend today who thinks I am mad. When we arrive at WDW and our resort we get cereal out of the food court with a fruit cup and some milk for the morning as we usually wake up around 4am wide awake and hungry. We then chill for a couple of hours before getting up and taking a stroll round the grounds and having our refillable mugs for a coffee or hot chocolate. I just can't stand it when my 2 start whining cos they are hungry on any trip so as this worked last time will do it again but am I mad?

Yeah - I do that as well. However the rest of the family usually sleep, so I creep out in the darkness.
I see you`re heading off to POR which is ideal for those early morning strolls! I found out last trip that the coffee machines open up quite a bit before the rest of the food court :thumbsup2

you know, I don't do that - but I really wish I did! Have never really thought about it but its a great idea. We usually make sure we've got bottles of water in but that's about as far as my planning goes.

We always head straight to Publix and stock up on Robinsons juice, coke and ben and jerry's chunky monkey. Proper holiday breakfast stuff:thumbsup2

The last couple of years solved that early morning waking up problem by staying up till 11 pm Orlando time (after being up at 3 am our time) and none of us have any problems waking up at a decent time. We tend to run on excitement.:)

Your idea is a good one, it is horrible waking up early then being hungry and there is no food available.

We tend to stay up to around 11pm Orlando time and that stops me waking up too early!!

However we do always head straight to a supermarket to get some food for the room anyway!

No doesn't sound mad at all.

We usually stay in a villa & we hit the supermarket on the 1st night however late it is. Not a big shop but enough like you to have supplies for the morning.

See I would do that but my kids are 4 and 7.
