Here on the Cape we have lots of fried food restaurants, but they also offer broiled seafood. I get the broiled with a salad. No french fries or onion rings for me, they do smell good though.
DH and DS usually get a fried fishermans platter with the works!
The only fried food I've had since I started WW is tortilla chips. It's not that I am avoiding all other fried foods, it's just that they aren't part of my WW plan!
However, this week I have a lunch date scheduled with my parents. We are going to a restaurant called Dixie Crossroads. It's a seafood place on the East Coast. I have heard lots of good things about it and I may end up ordering a fried meal!

Yeah, Lynn, but they haven't come up with a broiled clams dish and I don't think it would taste as good!
I LOVE the fried clams and onion rings from Lobster Hut in Plymouth, but the last time we went there, I ordered a salad and a lobster roll (only 7 wwpoints- 1 for the lite dressing and 6 for the lobster roll!) The lobster roll is a little pricey, but I can pay with my wallet or pay with my thighs!
Most of the things I cook normally involve some element of frying - usually with olive oil and/or butter. (Except deep frying of course, I use sunflower oil then ).
I eat them more than I should, I know.
I had my gall bladder removed back in '77 but eating fried foods after that has never bothered me at all. Maybe it should...then maybe I wouldn't need to lose weight.
