Does anyone actually PLAY Jungle Cruise?

Just wondering if anyone actually tries to take the pictures and play the game, and not just crash the boat to get the 20 credits.

When I first started, I actually tried to "play good" and get lotsa points. It seems very lame that you still get 20 even if you rule the game. Do you actually win something different that the 20 credits if you get a certain score? Just wondering these things.

I gave up on actually trying when I got nothing for what I thought was an awesome score. I know you get your name and score on the main page "best of day" list but is that it?

I really try, but, I stink at it, lol (actually I stink at ALL the games).

Yes. You do actually get more if you make the top 10. You end up with 100 credits. Plus, the first time you do it, you get a coupon for a tent room (which of course you have to redeem at a park). I currently have coupons for 7 (all from mules).

Now I just have to either find some people to give them to or get someone to redeem them for me to give to people.

btw: I can get a really high score if I really try, but I usually play it early in the day while the high scores are still fairly low.

I played Jungle Crash for real in my naive beginning days. And right before I went to Disneyland, I'd wake up early every morning until I got a high score so I could get the tent room prize. But that's it!

It's funny, I always try to leave Jungle Cruise running when I'm at home and the computer is on. When I visited my boyfriend and ran Jungle Cruise on his computer, I was doing something afk and I asked him to do my usual "Ok" "Start Game" and he started playing!! He got so excited and kept telling me his score as it was increasing and I scolded him for not making me crash. hahahah

I always play Jungle Cruise. I used to be real good at it too. Not "High-score" good, but I'd play through all three levels. Now I'd be lucky if I don't crash at the beginner's level.

I tell ya, the game is rigged.

I used to play for real, but not being very good at it (actually I'm terrible), I quickly game up after being introduced to the wonders of nedding I don't hope to get a high score any time soon, so crashing the boat is just fine with me

For me it depends what the high score for the day is. If it's reasonable enough that I can still get in the top 10, I'll play. Otherwise, I crash.

I wanted the Tent Room, and the only day I could be on when VMK opens
is a weekend day. So one Saturday, a few weeks before my trip, I log
into VMK as soon as it opened.

Do not pass Go. Don't bother trying to collect $200 or NPC credits for that
matter. Go straight to Jungle Cruise and play for points! It's easiest to
get "high score" first thing in the morning, only if VMK resets the daily scores.

Luckily, I was #7 (for about a minute, LOL), but that was enough to earn
me the tent room certificate. I redeemed it a couple of weeks
ago at WDW.

I don't know if I have ever mentioned on Dis one of the funniest things that ever happened to me on the Jungle Cruise (NO, it is not an "off-river" tale). I logged on VMK right at opening and the log on was rather quick. I had a few minutes to waste before my credit runs started, so I decided to ned. I finished my first ned run with no points and got the message with the credits. To my amazement I got 100 credits for being in the top 10 for the day. It seems I was the fifth person to finish that morning after they had reset the scores and I had the number 5 score on the board.

Now if only I had a high score... That'll never happen though, because when I get up early and get on vmk on time, what happens? VMK is down or they haven't reset the dang list... I am pulling my hair out I tell you!

I already told cteddiesgirl I would redeem one for her. I don't know when I'll be going next but I'm sure it will be before you since I am 45-60 mins away from WDW. It's only a matter of $$$ keeping me away right now. Actually, cteddiesgirl gave me two and said if I can't redeem them both, I can keep the one. (TY so much! Muah!)
So I don't know if there is a limit on how many you can get, but if you want to send me the PDF's I will get as many as I can. If I cannot redeem them all, I will keep the link and give them back to you. (I have not seen this PDF yet...but couldn't you just make many copies of the same one? That's what I am doing with the VMK Insider tour PDF so my fiance can go too. Do they allow that? If anyone knows these answers please enlighten me.

Ok well here's the deal. I just looked at the PDF and it says you can only redeem 1 (one) coupon every 30 days. So I will be redeeming one for me and one for cteddiesgirl (my fiance will have to get that one). If I can get my sis and her man to come with, we can redeem four. I will let you know when we are planning to go, how many people are going and you can give me your PDF links if they are going, so I can get two more!
