Does anybody watch "How I Met Your Mother?"

I saw the first episode, and about the last five minutes of tonight's episode when the "Dad" guy (don't even know his name) comes up to the table with the group of friends, and "Aunt Robin" is there with them.

I understand that "Aunt Robin" is the girl he liked in the first episode, and apparently she's not his kids' mother. And I'm guessing that we don't know yet who their mother is. Do we know if "Aunt Robin" is really their aunt, or a family friend?

And how is it that Robin went from being a date who didn't work out in the first episode to being in the group of friends this episode, apparently commisserating with him that the current date didn't work out?

Maybe someone can give me a synopsis of what's happened in the episodes so far.

Not that I'll ever get to watch it again anyway, though. It's right at the time when I'm giving DD5 her bath and reading to her. I'm just curious.

I really like this show.

Ted really liked Robin, or thought he did, but after an episode where he spent 3 or 4 nights throwing parties trying to get her to one, they decided to just be friends. She was new to town and didn't know many people, so she was invited to join them at the bar for a beer.

I don't know if she's really "Aunt" Robin because the Dad refers to all of his friends as "Uncle" so and so.

I hope they keep it around.

I also think Uncle Barney (Doogie) will end up with Robin. They gave each other a "look" in the last episode (before tonight).

head over to TVtome they put up briefings on most episode of most shows.

I feel this is the best new comedy of the season... hopefully it's in for the long haul.

We watch it also. It's very funny! Not quite as funny as My Name is Earl though! But I think the guy that plays the 'dad' is cute!

I love this show! Very funny. Monday has a good line up again...other than the new doctor one at 8:30. But this is funny. I was wondering too, if it was her sister or something that he would fall for, but I'm doubting that.

My Name is Earl is good, too, but up against much better counter-programming in my estimation, so we'll probably end up having to catch it during rerun season.
