Does anybody know the usual closure/refurb dates for Typhoon Lagoon and Blizzard Beach?

I often go in October or November and it seems like for most of my vacations BB is closed. I would rather not miss either water park, so when is TL usually closed?

Usually they alternate years. So, if you go every two years, the same water park will be closed.

Except when that's not the case, which I'd say is about 75+% of the time.
(Which is to say, they don't usually alternate.)

They USUALLY want to keep Blizzard Beach open during the holidays, as it is already "decorated" for Christmas.

But, on some years, BB is in need of refurb more ungently than TL, so they will close
BB during Christmas on those years.

What IS "alternated" is that they will first close ONE of the Water Parks (usually TL) in the fall, and after Christmas, they will open up that one... and close the other one for refurb.

This is good info We were wondering the same for our December trip this year. We've never been during the winter months. It's good to know that if the weather is nice enough while we're there we have the option to spend a day at one of the water parks.

Sorry if I gave the wrong info. It just seems that has been the pattern for us in October/November over the last 8 years. But, I don't always have the best memory.

TA November calendar that was released this week has BB closed for refurbishment all month. is that something that could change? first time we are doing a water park (November)

Typhoon Lagoon will be open if BB is closed. I have never had them both be closed on a trip.
