Don't know anything about being a travel agent, but wanted to drop in and say Hi! How ya doin' and I love the new snake!! Such neat colors!!

Nice to see you! I kinda miss your PMs... :(

You don't need a license, but you do need to get extensive training. I was a travel agent in Miami and received several months worth of training on airline reservations systems.

I would search the internet and see if there are any online courses you can take or talk to a local travel agent and see if they'd be willing to train you while you worked as what's known as an "outside agent". That means you bring your own clientele in and receive a percentage of the commissions.

Hi there! I AM a travel agent. I have been for 13 years. You don't need a license, but you need schooling and training. The best experiance however is "hands on" by working in an agency.

Things in this business change every day. You have to be an organized person who can handle stress well. You wouldn't think it would be a stressful job, but believe me it is. Also, the pay is not the best, so don't get into this job for the money. If you have any specific questions you can PM me. Good luck with whatever you choose!
