We just returned yesterday after taking our 9 month old on her first trip to WDW. I was also came to our first realisation of how many souveniers a 9 month old baby can dispose of in a day!! We bought her a little stuffed Jasmine doll and a Minnie and little did we know, she just chucked them out of her stroller as we rolled along. At the end of the day, we went to Guest Services to see if anyone turned them in to Lost & Found, and were surprised that noone did! Spending as much time as we have with the Mouse over the past 30 years, we have found tons of toys, clothing, etc. laying on the ground and on benches and have always taken them to a CM to place them in Lost & Found. Is Lost & Found a relic of the past, only to be replaced by "Finder's Keepers"?

I also wanted to note that in grand Disney style, the CM at Guest Services offered to replace the toys for my daughter at no charge!! We certainly appreciated the gesture but declined seeing that the loss was our fault and we were only out about 30 bucks, so it wasn't a big deal...

I can tell you that someone turned in my teenage son's wallet in August of 2004. He lost it at the Studios and the next morning it was there in the Lost & Found!

But maybe that's because it was a typical teenager's wallet...it contained very little cash!
