does anybody else have this problem?

first I get along ok with MIL,FIL,SIL, and BIL. The problem I have is the rest of my DH's family. They treat me like an outsider. I get along with them ok. I see them at least 5 times a year. I go up to them and say hello and stuff but they never come over and talk to us . In the almost 6 years that we have been together(almost 4 years we have been married), they have never tried to get to know me. They treat people who are not related to us (dh's cousin's inlaws, dh's aunt's stepkids,etc) more like family than me. Should I try to continue to talk to them or give up?

I would do my best to be polite and talk to them in the interest of family harmony. Since you have a good relationship with your inlaws I'd ask them for their opinion and find out what the problem is to see if it's something 'fixable'.
