I was just wondering if anyone remember the squirrel who was called
"Nestle" He was Named that by the Cast Members because every morning he would go to the Toll house Cookie place to get his cookie.
I think it he was there in the late 1980's, Any one else remember him?

Hiya

I *saw* a squirrel in MK in 1989. Not sure if 'he' was the same one tho'!!!

Was my first trip to WDW and this is one of my big memories, go figure LOL

Cya,

I don't remember him per say, but we sure did enjoy hand feeding the ones at MK a few years ago along the brige to adventureland. Kids thought I was right up there w/Mickey 'cause I had brought peanuts along to feed to the squirrels if we saw any. They attracted quite a crowd, they are so tame.

Not at disney but the squirrels on my campus are incredibly tame.
They just hang out and don't really run away.

I saw Nestle 2 years ago! I didn't even know it was an attraction. Or maybe it's Nestle's grandson.....I was in the store across from the Speedway in Tomorrowland. A squirrel ran next to me, rushed to the counter and grab a chocolate nut bar from the bottom shelf. He even stopped and looked at me! I couldn't stop laughing. A CM came over and said "that's Nestle, he's always here to get his breakfast." I even asked them why they didn't move the chocolate bar higher up, and striked up a conversation with the CM about harm of chocolate to a squirrel. That's how I remember him.

I can't believe others know about Nestle. Ha ha. My DH is going to have a ball with this. Now, next trip, we'll definitely have to find him again.

Or, maybe, he's actually a CM?? :)

No, but each time we've visted the MK, in the pond next to Casey's on Main Street, we've seen a duck we call Pegleg Pete because of his gimpy leg. One leg is normal and the other leg is, well..wrong. It's like it accidentally got cut off at the 'knee' joint and is just a half-stump looking thing. :)

The best animal-related thing I saw at Disney was two ducks waddling back into an area in MK by bathrooms that said "Cast Members Only". I have some pictures, me and my boyfriend nearly fell over laughing.
