Does any one regret not doing the MK shoot

Do it! It was the most amazing part of our wedding trip - yeah we had to get up at the crack of dawn but I did my own hair and make up.

We had Ty and he was great - he took about 75 photographs and we had fun ones as well as the formal ones - me with the KNight in shining armour - and both of us on the carousel horses.

Both DH and I loved the whole thing and the pictures are AMAZING - we think it was the best $800 of the trip (and I should point out that any UK brides considering this get the high res cd thrown in for nothing - we can print out the pictures as many times as we like back home)

We got 12 photos in a beautiful album about 4 hours after the shoot finished!

I got married in Disney world and I wanted the castle in my pics - and I will remember it fondly forever.

ETA - the two photos on the right of my sig are from the shoot - the some more of my photos can be seen in my blog - follow the sunset pointe link below

Well, we did it. I can honestly say that I would have regretted it if we didn't do it. We are not morning people, but it was such an experience just being in the park without any other people there (besides workers). It was amazing and I think that most of my pictures turned out great. There are a few that I could have lived without, but all in all, I'm so glad we did it.

I think you need to decide for yourself how you feel about it. What is more Disney than wedding pictures at MK?

Good luck on your decision.

I would be interested to know if you can book your MK photo shoot after the wedding? Is it true you can have it done within 1 year of your wedding? :confused3

I can't find the source of that information...but I know I've seen it somewhere.

Ask your EM or contact Disney Photographic Services and ask them...

Since we are paying for it ourselves, we have been making some really hard decisions. I have cut alot back on our wedding, but the pictures and video are not something that I am willing to sacrifice. I know that if we do not do it for our wedding, we will NEVER get it done. It will never work into the finances, and then paying to get your bouquet redone, etc. I think that that is the one "perk" so to speak of a Disney Bride. Even though you pay for it, you are one out of a very small group of people that has ever gotten to do this. For me, this is the right decision.

Our date is not until the end of the year but the MK photo shoot is one thing I will not compromise on - it is one of the reasons I am having a Disney wedding. There is simply no other way to get those pictures and even though not every photographer is a creative genius, the backdrop is breathtaking all by itself. ::yes::

I say this having had a MK engagement session that I wasn't thrilled with - but the simple fact is that I have photos that I could not have gotten any other way. We went inside attractions, behind ropes and gates and got a castle shot that cannot be duplicated without the circumstances of that day.

I am sure I would regret skipping it, without question - but that is because it is my priority. I am not having the mice at the reception though, which I know is a no-compromise decision for some couples. It's really a decision that you have to decide for yourself.

Sorry - I know that's not much help! :(

It was one of the best parts of our intimate wedding. The pictures came out beautiful and it was such an experience. I would have really regretted not doing it.
