When making a reservation for our party of 3 adults, a 7yo, and a 9month old... do I count the baby as 5?? Or can I leave it at 4?

As the others said, everyone counts. Even though you don't pay for the baby, they need to know how big of a table they need to reserve for your group.

yes, count the baby. Babies often take up more space than an ave person.

Every person counts no matter how small. They are considered part of the total occupancy of the restaurant. If you were to book 4 people but show up with 5 there is a chance you could be turned away.
