Hi there,

I just made an ADR for 12 guests at the Biergarten for me and our friends for the night before my wedding.

After I made it, I realized that I forgot we will have an infant with us (1 yr old). I forgot to factor her into the head count!:scared1: Does an infant count as a guest with seating at that restaurant & do you think it will be a big deal to show up with 11 adults & 1 infant? I'm guessing her height chair would be placed at the head of the table?

I tried to change my ADR but I was lucky to get this one at 4:45pm

Also how many people to they seat at each table? I don't want to end up with 2 people having to eat by themselves or something...

Thanks!:goodvibes

Not sure about the baby but I can not imagine he/she would count in the head count.

I have made a few dinner reservations where the system told me "your party may not be seated together" and then let me proceed or cancel the reservation. I would imagine if you did not see that then you are good to go :confused3

Count the baby. All humans count, no matter the age. I nearly screwed that up myself, but got it figured out right in time.

Thank you...shoot :( Do you think they could turn us away if we show up with 13 people, even though we are 12+1 baby?

I'm gonna say no way they are going to turn away 12 paying customers. I would call the 800 number and try to add another person bit if they say no keep the reservation and just go. I have not been to Biergarten but I understand they have large long tables. With that kind of set up I'm sure you will be fine.

I don't remember if those tables will fit that many. I'm thinking they fit 8??

I'm hoping they will seat us together at 2 adjacent tables. Our ADR is before 5pm, so I'm hoping if we could wait a bit, they could accommodate!

They may not turn you away, but you may have to wait a long time. Remember that there are aisle requirements for fire codes as well as occupancy. When I was hosting at a restaurant (not Disney), we couldn't just put a highchair or chair at the end of a table if it would jut out into the aisle; there had to be at least 3 feet clearance for the aisle.

If the 1 year old will sit on someone's lap, it may be easier. But if the 1 year old needs a chair, the 1 year old counts.

Yes you have to count the 1yr old. I screwed up and forgot DS2 who was 6mths old back in February when we had a ressie at Ohana for breakfast. It wasnt a big deal and they just put the highchair between us. I would try to add the baby until you leave but if you cant then just go and let them know that you forgot to put the baby on the ressie. I'd even show up a little early for your ressie so hopefully you will not have to wiat long.

Yes, the infant counts. Everybody counts on a restaurant reservation, regardless of age, eating or not. It's based on restaurant capacity, not on the amount of physical space available.

That said I would think you will be fine just showing up. They won't turn away the extra person unless the restaurant is so full that it would be violating fire codes to let just one more person in. It's doubtful that would happen, especially at a very early dinner at Biergarten. But there is a better possibilty you will have to wait longer when you change your party size after showing up.
