Does a purchase of blt points open up more rooms to use points for?

I have been waiting for my waitlist at blt from July 3 - 7th.

I see that DVC is getting close to selling out and was wondering if people buy the last points available would this open more rooms.

For those that are experienced at going during this time what are my chances of getting the waitlist?

I don't think so. Before points can be sold, they have to be "declared." Anything in declared inventory is available for reservations, I believe.

My understanding is that declared inventory belongs to Disney until sold and it is not available to the Members.
